STEED 02-09-13 08:54 AM

Well it was only at the debate stage and not gone all the way, the only thing I can say that was good about that one.

I felt it would be a betrayal to those kids that were nearing the end of their school lives....shifting the goal posts after having studied and prepared for the original system.

David Cameron has hailed a real-terms cut in the European Union's next seven-year budget as a good deal for Britain.
The Prime Minister told the House of Commons the UK had successfully rejected proposals by Europe's "big spenders" for an increase in the budget, as he fought alongside Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden for a reduction in the EU's credit card limit.
But now...

Quote:

Euro MPs prompted uproar last night by plotting to try to block the budget deal using a secret ballot so voters cannot hold them to account.
It emerged that they are planning to use a little-understood procedure to allow them to vote in private and defy the 27 EU leaders.

It just reinforces my opinion of how corrupt, undemocratic and out of touch with the people this bunch of scoundrels are.

William Hague has today strongly condemned North Korea's nuclear missile testing.

George Osborne was the subject of another whispering campaign today, as the chancellor was increasingly singled out for criticism for Britain's economic stagnation.

And on the other side of the coin the Banks have praised him to the sky...Good on you George old boy that's the spirit look the other way while we get on with our ponzi corruption.

Senior political figures from inside the Conservative party criticised Osborne for his decision to freeze the inheritance tax threshold until 2017, amid disastrous poll ratings.

Former Cabinet minister and adviser to Osborne Lord Forsyth called the decision to freeze the threshold at £325,000 "unfair" and "very disappointing", especially considering the chancellor pledged to raise it to £1 million before the election
Simply out of touch with reality :nope:

Ed Miliband pledges 'mansion tax' to fund 10p tax rate return:

Mr Miliband said it was a "mistake" to get rid of it and the move would send a "clear signal" his party was on the "side of working people".
The move would be paid for by a new "mansion tax" on £2m properties, he indicated in a speech in Bedford.

This is a disgrace, I'm sorry no I'm not buying this poor excuse. You would expect this sort of thing from a Tory council but labour! :nope:

I very much doubt a labour council in the north would ever think of a dreadful thing like this.

Camden council plans to move 761 poor families from London
Council says welfare cuts force shift of 2,816 adults and children to areas up to 200 miles away with lower housing rents

A council is planning the largest single displacement of poor people from London in the wake of the coalition government's controversial welfare reforms, singling out more than 700 families to be moved up to 200 miles away.

Camden council said that it would shortly be contacting 761 households, comprising 2,816 adults and children, because the coalition's benefit cap – which limits total welfare payments to £500 a week for families – will mean that they will be unable to afford their current accommodation or any other home in the south-east.

If this goes ahead then democracy is truly dead.
