It's not quite that here, but it felt really hot before lunch! Good chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, so that's great. :yeah:

Good when you do not have to take a shower, once you get home :DL

Herr-Berbunch 08-02-11 09:07 AM

I have a shower plumbed in, just waiting for an electrician to wire it up and then I need to retile the bathroom before I can actually have a shower! :yep:

Funny thing, that. I've been without a shower for a month. The apartment manager keeps forgetting to write the work order to install a curtain rod. Should have happened today, but they haven't shown up yet.

It seems that time will tell, :yep:

I broke a record last weekend. My car's internal temperature reached 159.6 degrees F after sitting in a parking lot for almost 5 hours. :sunny:

That's a tad bit warm. :sunny:

You walk outside and I swear, it feels like there is some big fusion reactor going full blast or something.

Gerald 08-02-11 08:08 PM

Yes it is hot, but you have AC in your car, :yep:

Platapus 08-02-11 08:10 PM

I do not understand how people could have survived in North Virginia without AC in the past. And also wore heavier clothing too.

Tougher than I am that's for sure.

Or everyone just stunk and it was normal.

Gerald 08-02-11 08:13 PM

People get used to it over time.

For some people that is a myth.

I am a cold weather person. I have spent many years living in hot climates and I have never "gotten used to it".

I don't think everyone can acclimate to all temperatures. Some can and they are lucky. But there are people like me who even after living in North Virginia for 17 years still can't acclimate to the heat and humidity.

It sucks. I wish I could acclimate. I truly do.

Would it make any difference to you? Then why bother?

I'd give you one myself but you beat me too it. Hmm, I wonder how that works? :hmmm:

I think Sailor Steve is just preparing to cover this song:
Dead Milkmen - My Many Smells :D

(says the guy who kicks washing machines ;))
