Hope the stuff in the vid works, if so I will finally get some better looking armor and can start looking at other texture mods as well which I kinda gave up on. AND I can have my pretty blue wedding dress back altho how to keep the mannequin it's displayed on from turning back into a guy is another question. I guess some mannequins or modded-in mannequins or all of them, are "clones" of each other or something because I know how to do the console command to change their sex but doing it on one changes the others and it's really frustrating. I can't make the one for my wedding dress a girl without going back to Hjerim and finding out that General Tullius' armor now has boobs which is just WRONG. :haha: I don't mind all my own armor defaulting to the male style when I store it on a dummy but I'm not having my wedding dress do that. :stare: So I gave up and just stowed it back in a wardrobe. In happier news Imperials in the remaining camps seem perfectly willing to attack me if I just show up and hang around a couple seconds, which makes clearing out the camps possible without incurring any bounties. I'm not sure but I think my running up to any escorted Stormcloak prisoner I find and freeing him without consulting his Imperial guards first, is kinda pissing them off. Best one was when I found an Imperial camp in The Reach, I kept hanging around but they just kept repeating the warnings and not actually doing anything about it. Then I see one pull out his bow and draw and I think "FINALLY" but, no, they all go running around looking up because here comes a dragon flying over. So I'm thinking... do I hang around and kill this dragon if it attacks, do I scurry up behind this ridge and *watch* it attack and let it do my dirty work for me and then kill it when it's finished, or what? And I think, okay, Imperials vs. Stormcloaks is one thing, but Dragon vs. Humanity overrides that, I'm taking out the dragon. (Also I needed more scales to temper some stuff I made, NOT THAT THIS MADE ANY DIFFERENCE I WAS THINKING PURELY IN TERMS OF THE HUMANITY INVOLVED.) Anyway they're all shooting at the dragon and I decide to run up the hill away from the camp to see if I can get it to land up there and not in the middle of the camp, see how nice I am? And THAT is when one of the idiot Imperials decides to attack ME instead of, oh I dunno, focusing on the giant flying fire-breathing lizard that is circling overhead. So we have to kill all the Imperials anyway, meanwhile the dragon flies off and never attacks so I didn't get my scales after all. :wah: |
I'm using the Advanced Mannequins mod, works fine. :yep:

I suppose I could use the female ones from that mod only to display stuff where I definitely want the female style of armor/apparel and let the existing mannequins stay male. Are you using them with any of the modded player homes/hideouts? There's issue with that mentioned in the description. I'm also using a Dynamic Merchants mod and I don't know what that does to Belethor. :hmmm: |
Myeah, it seems that Belethor doesn't have the mannequins, installed Dynamic Merchants after using the AM mod for a while. :-?
Other than that, I'm using a custom house and so far there's been no problems with the mannequins I bought. |

Come to think of it the Dynamic Merchants is not really a must-have, altho I do like it. The effects of it seem a bit much sometimes, but to be fair I started with it when I already was at the point where I was trading thousands of septims worth of stuff pretty much everywhere I shopped, so all those merchants really seemed to "take off" immediately. It's nice to be able to sell an entire load of loot off in one major city but it doesn't mean so much now that I don't really need the money. :haha: |
Yeah, just tested and you can just disable DM, buy the mannequins and enable DM again.
You get a warning when loading the save game after you disable DM, but it should be ok. (just in-case, might be a good idea to not be in an area where there are merchants) EDIT: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10589 Quote:

I would appreciate a mod that gives me a Riverdance show with a line of Irish girls in one of the taverns.

That would only be better if the dragon head over the throne was actually changed to the jarl himself like the crabs put him up there when they took over the world.

I earlier asked - en passant - about a fix for Fallout 3, several pages earlier
Solved, it seems. I had freezes every couple of minutes, often after having opened a door and entered a new sector behind that door. It was not the x64 version of the OS causing it, but it seems it was that F3 does not like quadcores. I stumbled over a note that recommended a small tweak to the config that somewhat limits it to 1 or 2 cores. No freezes anymore in 30 minutes testplay. Nice! You see, there is no thread that could not be hijacked. |

Also - I want to marry Ulfric. I can already sleep in his bed, I mean, c'mon. The Magigolo can be... dealt with. Less pushy temporary quest-related followers would also be nice. I went into some ruin recently, bow up and arrow ready to go as per usual when creeping through such places. Saw some chick up ahead and assumed she was a bandit and shot her and immediately got a "Quest Failed" notice on some quest I didn't know existed yet, oh crap, so I reloaded and talked to her instead and she wanted me to go in and help her clear the baddies so she could retrieve some thing she wanted. Me being the friendly sort I naturally said yes, hey, draugr up ahead, the more help the better. Well somehow the first draugr we found, either she blasted the Magigolo or he blasted her and I'm guessing it was the latter because she ran right up in my way and he always hangs back. Then they're going at each other so, ugh, reload AGAIN from last autosave and have the Magigolo stay behind this time. BUT this chick is constantly whining and complaining about me having my weapon out and ready to go, I mean, WTF, you ASKED ME TO HELP YOU SAFELY THROUGH THIS CRYPT YOU DAFT BINT. If the only thing you're going to fight with is magic then don't get between the point of my weapon and the thing I have to kill with it, just stay out of the way. I guess we should traipse merrily along with daisies in each hand like we're on our way to a picnic and only worry about weapons after we're already being attacked. :stare: Anyway whatever item it was she wanted, she found and it turned out that it did me no good whatsoever except for some piddly reward, and she was worse than freakin' Barbas all the way through. He was pushy but at least all he could say was "woof." Made me wish I'd just played through the one where I killed her outright when I first spotted her. :haha: |

Dumb AI moment of the day:
Found this mage chick, Ilia or something like that who wanted me to help kill her mother. Did that and now she's my follower. Seeing she's the mage kind, I dumped every magic item I had in my chest on the poor lass. What did she pick to wear? From all the kazillion enchanted robes, hoods, hooded robes, amulets and rings she was now carrying? A hood. Otherwise she was butt naked. :dead: |
