I too wish to add my thanks for your hard work Beery, Take your time and relax and enjoy yourself. As for me I will be taking the time to enjoy other pursuits until 1.3 RFB is released so no hurry.

Waiting patiently, pinned down at 300' by three destroyers at the moment, just imagining what you'll do with RFB when you return! SH is SO good now and the modders are amazing in their ideas to improve the game. It's a great time to be a sub simmer.

Take your time Beery. Get it right when the time is right: just like you've always done. We'll be here when you are ready to return.

In the meantime, do I dog it down here until the convoy leaves and then try again or do I make noise following them and burn up my batteries. Don't know, those destroyers are a lot better than they used to be. Good thing with 300 feet of water above me I can maneuver out from under those well-aimed depth charges they're dropping. I like these American boats but for going deep, give me a nice U-Boat and I could double that. I'm going to lie quietly and wait for nightfall. Secure from battle stations! We're waiting this one out!

Hey Beery,
Just installed 1.3 after getting my laptop back from repairs. I engaged a loan huge european liner after chasing it down at ahead flank. Anyway I gets within range and the gunner starts doing his thing. Feels like the guns belt fed now after using your mod. And I'm trying to picture the crew loading, aiming and firing it that fast... NO WAY man. Patiently awaiting the next installment! :up:

I am thinking a more realistic fire rate is all. Or do you mean that you thought Ryan was using RFB. We are still waiting on RFB to get updated for 1.3. I blame Tolkien for the wait. :p I would love to get into LotRO if I could afford to buy the game and get a lifetime subscription ($299USD). But alas, I will have to wait.

I think he's saying it's too fast with vanilla 1.3 (without RFB).

Right now it's probably more accurate to blame 'massive three-day-long migraine' for the wait. But Tolkien still has something to do with it too. And the fact that I'm really just having trouble getting motivated. Maybe if you guys could be a little less patient that would spur me into action. You're really being very good to me and I appreciate it a whole lot, but I'm a lazy sod and right now I'm thinking that someone probably needs to slap me and say "Get the bloody thing done you lazy arsehole!"

Anyway, I really hope something will motivate me soon. I am putting a definite deadline on it - I must get it done by next Friday.

That was perfect! Hehe. If some more folks come in here, berating me for being a lazy, Tolkien-game-playing fool, that should get me going.

By the way, can someone give me a quick run down on what things that RFB fixed have now been fixed by the devs, that would be great. Often the devs fail to mention small fixes in a patch's readme, so I'd hate to leave something in RFB only to have RFB overwrite a better official fix.

Also, does anyone have a changelog showing the files that have been altered between SH4 1.2 and 1.3. I can probably run one myself but if one is already out there I'll use that.

Oooh, I think I felt something there. It's the motivation seeping back into me! Heck, we might see RFB 1.30 by Monday or Tuesday if this keeps up.

OK.. .I love RFB - but dangit Beery - get your butt outta namby pamby fairy foo-foo land to get this done. All them walking trees and dwarves and such SOUND all tough - but really - like even the Balrog, Smaug or Shelob would have survived a Mk 14 up their tailpipe....
