I've just watched a little over an hour of the live parliamentary debate and whilst admittedly it was the oppositions response part it is beginning to look to me like the traitor Letwin motion will be passed and the government will withdraw the withdrawal agreement bill.

Jim you should have gone out for the evening and had a great time instead of staying in with curry and beer. :03:

The entertainment factor alone is well worth it.

Despite losing the vote the PM remains defiant regarding the Benn Act which comes onto force at 11pm tonight, picking his words extremely carefully when he stated the law does not compel him to send a letter asking for an extention.

It may well turn out to be the case that it will be up to Parliament to send the letter and not the PM personally :hmmm:

Let it go ... come on man. The UK will win in the end it's called the law of supply and demand.

Let the other members of the EU see how shabby they've treated the UK ... :yep:

Maybe they will be more kind in the future :hmmm:

I think most of this is of our own making.

The fact is that Parliament is pro-remain despite the fact that over 80% of them voted to allow and respect the result of a referendum.

A general election is what we need now so the people can decide if they want this questionable lot to remain in office.

:woot: Great news! I hope he is worth of his word.

At the moment I see no point in Brexit extension as it would allow another round of British domestic politics without providing any practical progress. Another extension would prolong social (EU citizens in UK and vice versa) and financial uncertainity which is not welcome to most people.
