Thanks for trying to help. I did try what you suggested, but unfortunately the mod validator wouldn't open without showing an error. Beginning to suspect it may be my computer. I might try an uninstall/re-install see if that makes a diffrence. If that fails then I was due to upgrade from xp to win 7 soon anyway so it will be a nice clean slate then. Adam |
I have the same problem
Sometimes it works only partially then stops even though I sank 70,00 plus tons in the area assigned including aircraft carrier etc. The sinkings are registered under the Captains hat with dates and times, but never show up on the record bar for the mission. :salute:

This is not right FX_Update_0_0_22_ByTheDarkWraith < this looks ok? FX_Update_0_0_22_TheDarkWraith Check the mod folder again You need folder 1 base mod You also need folder 3 torpedo patch below FX_Update_0_0_22_Torpedoes (modified for torpedoes failure patches) I would be interested to know if you get any ctd's with your mod list. I'm having a problem with RealNav aspect of this mod (at least I think this mod). Basically every time I load a save game I get an automatic celestial fix which I think is 100% accurate no matter the time, weather, or even submerged. This is unfortunate because I want to be able to get lost and this automatic perfect fix prevent this.
I'm also getting odd saving and loading with super marks, nav marks, and messages. Often it loads only the messages but not the marks on auto load so when I load again I get double messages but I get my marks. It just seems a little buggy but workable. I know it's probably recommended and hard/impossible but if map tool objects (marks, circles, lines, angles) could persist between sessions that would be killer. I'm sure it's a known wish which is why super marks exist. |

Thank you, I had been loading new saved games games without exiting the game. Restarted the mission and it seems to have corrected the problem.
I never liked the retriction of sinking only ships within an area to get credit. An enemy ship carrying material to the UK is as good as any other IMHO and passing up targets to save torpedos for the area sucks in most cases. Guess I will have to live with that even if the real BDU wouldn't bat an eye over it. :salute: |

I would probably move a few mods around if I were playing with your mod list. However if you are not experiencing problems then leave well alone. I cannot play with Stormy's mods as I get ctd,s with them. Stormy's also needs the German Language Pack mod unless you have already installed directly or installed from the dvd custom installation. I replaced longer repair times with R.S.D. - Reworked Submarine Damage v5.7 by vdr1981_Main mod R.S.D. v5.7 - German Patch R.S.D. v5.7 - Indestructible UZO patch I did install with the German language pack with English text for the ambiance. I was unaware that Stormy's mods caused ctd,s. I really like the German language and the keyboard mod which makes more sense to me since it closely reminds of SH3. I do get an occasional chd, but not from chk,s because of the patcher 168 from TDW has an option to ignore missing sounds. You can see my full current mod list my profile public album. Looked at your album. Some mods I have never heard of before in there. I have tried a number of times with Stormy's to no avail. Apart from his improved keyboard changes if you use the 4 bearing method then the Z key is essential. That is the one thing I miss the most in the default keyboard. Peter |

Comvas scrips are just my custum scripts for the TDW automation. All the rest seem standard to me. What do you use for a sound mod for German ambiance or are you set up for all English? Did you ever resolve that issue where the CTD reporting wasn't showing up and all you got was the idiot Uplay screen? |

That is why I have never heard of them. I use German Language through the Dvd custom installation. I also use ‘Speech Fixes and Additions German Version.’ I also use the ‘Dbgview’ prior to starting the game. This can be found in NewUis 7-4-2- and 7-5-0 data then applications with a shortcut to the desktop. Dbgview usually tells you where the fault is. Something like ‘server could not communicate with client’ is a classic ctd type of report. Peter |
UI 7.5 Ver 18/Advanced Speed control issue
Hello All.
I am using the test UI ver18. I have found that I am getting no response whatsoever with the advanced speed control. I tried to read back on the thread but could not find any comments about this. Is anyone else having this issue? If not then I'll have to look at my mod set or something else with my install. I have not had any issues with the hud before with any version save the Naught's graphic problem awhile back which appears to have been fixed. Thanks so much for all the good work on this, it's really coming incredibly well. DaveO |

Hi there!
I have a quastion for this mod: NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_ByTheDarkWraith. There are some options and descriptions in this forum for the snorkel function, but my VII A doesnt have a snorkel. All other functions of the mod are working. Maybe I just have to wait and unlock the snorkel in the in the bunker? Is the snorkel only available for the VII C, like in the real history?
