I doubt many if any will be shocked.

Interesting thought: since Trump had his SCOTUS buddies engineer a declaration that a POTUS is essentially immune from prosecution for any act falling under the purview of 'Presidential duties and responsibilities', Biden's pardons and any other acts the MAGA/GOP is fusing, fuming, and bitching about is a moot point because, after all, he was just performing a Presidential duty... :03: :D

..how's that petard hoisting y'all there, MAGAs...?...

Suspicous. Sounds as if somebody wants to evade being counterchecked.

Congress created inspectors general in the wake of the Watergate scandal, as part of a wave of reforms intended to curb corruption, waste and fraud. The independent watchdogs - who work within federal agencies but are not controlled by the head of those agencies - are meant to serve as a guard against mismanagement and abuse of power.
Not less worrying is that Trump ordered security clearances being given to people who had not undergone the needed security check procedures. It opens sensitive stuff and material and information to people whom you maybe do not really want to have as guests in your house. Except they are your accomplices, of course.

And the SCOTUS gave him immunity.

Hardly surprising; Trump initially tried to forbid his appointees from undergoing the usual background checks and other vetting all previous Presidential appointees (Cabinet members, department heads, etc.) in all previous administrations have undergone, by law, conducted by the FBI and whatever other investigative agencies, to ascertain any deficiencies, conflicts, closet skeletons, legal entanglements, etc., any of the appointees might have; Trump also resisted the further requirement that all such appointees sign a pledge to abide by the ethics codes of their offices; so, not only does Trump not want any IGs digging into the conduct of his lackeys, he also doesn't seem to want them to be bound by any of the standards and responsibilities laid out in the law...

Some people have pointed out that Trump declined to place his hand on the Bible at his last swearing in ceremony and speculated he might have been thinking about a possible defense if he's impeached again: "look, no matter what I did, it really doesn't matter because I didn't swear with my hand on the Bible, so I didn't break the oath because, well, n hand, no crime, so I should not be held responsible because it wasn't valid, and besides, I had my fingers crossed; oh, and I really did win the 2020 Election and my crowds are always the biggest..."...

Seems to me that some people are more eager to concentrate on the person himself, instead of his policy he's going to use.

That's because personal attacks are all they have, all the ever had and all they ever will have. All their efforts to smear the greatest president of the 21st century have come to naught and their tears are simply delicious.

The way it's looking now it will be 12 years or more before a Democrat sits behind the resolute desk again. :)

You realize that Joe Biden gets the same immunity don’t you. Looks like he might need it.
