I've stopped looking for info on games which I'm going to buy regardless of the reviews or such. I find it much more enjoyable to start a game you've waited for, without knowing almost anything about it. This way you get surprised by those niceties and features the game consists. For example, I sucked every bit of information from Red Dead Redemption while I was waiting for it. Finally after I received my copy it felt like I had played the game before! |
Anyone know what race they're going to go for?
I myself am thinking Nord as the game is set in their home area, will probably net me some sort of benefit. As for class, I like to stick to warrior, probably try and go for something with an axe and shield. |

I've only used Imperials, but then again I've only played about 2 hours of morrowind and 40 something of Oblivion. Haven't really had multiple characters. |
Khajiit sneaky type of course. Catnip shall rise again.
|
Ork!
Lok'Tar! Strength to survive and no mercy upon my enemies! HunterICX |
Wood Elf + Rogue most likely.
|
I'm usually a Breton magic user of some kind.
|
Argonian magic/melee mix perhaps. :hmmm:

|
Nord Warrior.
edit: I notice over here our online gaming store is releasing 'Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition' due out on 30 Sept. http://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/P...tion/18384787/ Is this a new release of the game or the store just trying to cash in from an old release. I was thinking of getting it and try and finish the expansions before skyrim comes out. One thing I hated with Oblivion which drove me nuts was those Oblivion gates alll over the land, even though you could go into them anytime you wish I just hated the fact that they existed. I did go and complete one and another would show up do that and another would show up. :damn: If there was a cheat to blow all those gates up I would of used it. Crom help me if they put those damn gates in Skyrim! |

Extremely awesome screenies at that. That bound bow is just... well, awesome. |

The classes just dictate starting bonuses, gaining experience after that is through using skills. Pretty easy rolling your own type of character too.
Using the bound weapons requires some skill in magic though, mysticism iirc. And of course relevant weapon skill to use it effectively. * or was that conjuration? Makes more sense. :hmmm: |

Always liked how the class system worked in TES. Can switch from style to style without the need for re-roll. :yeah: |
Just don't go off picking flowers for hours. Once leveled up 2 or 3 levels in Oblivion by gathering ingredients, brewing poisons to use and potions to sell. I had impressive intelligence and alchemy for an assassin type, but the combat skills fell a little behind.
