Nah, that name is taken.

Tell you what Neal, you vote for me ( either way ) as I'm drawn on the line.:DL

Maybe I could just close my eyes and make a stab at the poll? :arrgh!::rotfl2:

Reminds me of a German comedian I saw a few years ago.

German Comedian: "Before I begin my routine I'd like to say that the stereotype of german people being obsessed with order and regimentation is false, nothing could be further from the truth.

And now, joke number one..." :rotfl2:

The guy was brilliant.

I'm a very punctual guy, but when some people notice it and say "You arrived with british punctuality" I answer them always: "No Sir, I arrived with german exactitude" :haha:

I voted NO, although I am german, because there are already 3 or more german speaking subsim forums, so why open another one?

I fear the community will split into two parts.

Ssshh ! Neal wants to make your life easier, and you don't have a choice ! :stare:

:O:

Of course your fear is legitimate, Sir. :)
But you certainly think this way because you speak english fluently and can converse with everyone in here just as you can in german.

But, not all german players speak english as fluently as you do. Yet they would all like to talk about U-Boote just as we do. So the forum must be open to everyone !

A wise man said "None of us are as clever as all of us". :|\\

It's there if you need it. Thing about corporate forums, they are there only as long as they have a game to sell.

Cheers Neal,

what should I say ? Itīs not important but nice to have one....

Is there way in vbulletin to disable certain forum areas, like the created german forum?

No offense to any germans, but why in the world do we have to suffer for reading german in these forums, I just absolutely don't get it.

I'm very saddened by the fact that you have decided to open such forum here and now the german area/posts pop up in my new posts list. If I want to read german I go to some .de forum. With this decision you're only alienating your existing users. Very sad indeed.

Sailor Steve 02-28-10 04:37 PM

He's not alienating anyone, except maybe you. There are several forums I never read, and having one more on the list doesn't bother me at all.

Nisgeis 02-28-10 04:46 PM

It would make more sense, e.g. match the other forums, if it were a sub forum of the International section, rather than being a sub forum of the III - 4 - 5 forum.

You know, just from a stylistical point of view.

Sailor Steve 02-28-10 06:08 PM

Agreed. That's where I thought it would be.

Sorry, there's a big world out there and we welcome it all.

Yeah, after it gets going I will probably move it down there... "down there", sounds like some kind of punishment, doesn't it?

Well it could mean a number of things, but I wouldn't advise asking this forum for a list of possibilities.....

:D
