Went grocery shopping this morning and there was plenty of TP.

We were grateful for our allies.

Still a limit of one package, but at least there was enough for everyone.

We're okay now since they brought back rationing

But yesterday on Face Book someone posted the following:

"I used to spin that toilet roll like I was on The Wheel Of Fortune, but now I turn it like a safecracker" :haha:

That's all it takes....rationing, beats the hoarders every time.

Anyhoo, as fate would have it....I was talking to a neighbour who works at ASDA last Monday and told her that whilst we had sufficient TP stocks in the house it would be appreciated if she could let me know if and when new stocks appeared.

Twenty or so minutes ago her husband knocked on our door and the wife opened the door to see him at the end of our drive and what had he left on the doorstep?

The thing is he wouldn't accept any money so I think I'll reciprocate with a case of beer tonight.

Isn't that the definition of Black Market?

No, they're a white couple.

Still, not much of an encore after that fishes and loaves thing ... :hmmm:

... then, again, who hasn't looked at an empty cardboard tube and thought, "Oh God! We're out of toilet paper!!..."...

Still trying to figure out how ManKind survived before the mass availability of TP.
I'm thinking squirrels.

I'm trying to figure out what the scruffy gits used to clean their hands before all the hand sanitiser vanished.

Your discussion reminded me of some episode of a series on History Channel

The program is called War Crime and does not cover what type of crime the military did during WWII but what type of crimes ordinary citizens in England did and what they accepted.

Host:

Before the war, citizens was very critical to this type of trade, but now when the war is upon them, they saw through the fingers and many of them even toke advantage and bought things from the black market.

It was that time that TP was invented, that there sudenly were white rabbits

Jimbuna 03-30-20 02:45 PM

Save all the hassle of the supermarkets and have a bidet installed for about £200 supplied and fitted.

We are looking into getting one of those, but a lot of them need electric power and I am trying to find out how difficult it would be for me to shunt some power into that area.
