Catfish 06-25-16 04:29 PM

Whaddaya say, 1:0 for Portugal.

Yeahhhh! :O: The PIC was true, this game was bachelors vs married (expression here). But finally, fortuna smiled!

During the World Cup in Brazil, some viewer came up with the idea, that the penalty shootout should be before the ordinary match instead.

I remember clearly some Danish and some Swedish sport journalist speaking highly about that idea.

I myself think that would be an great idea-Having the penalty shootout before the ordinary match.

"I am [Rank] [Name], and I am dead. As of this moment, we are all dead. We go into battle to reclaim our lives. This, we do gladly, for we are Jem'Hadar. Remember - victory is life."

Tempting. :D

Have not watched it, but I read the match Wales-Ireland has been even worse. "Collective refusal to work", somebody called it.

Well done Wales.

Nice match by the German team, 3:0, but considering the number of chances: still not goal-efficient enough. Superior Draxler and Boateng. Slovakians tried what they could, but were chanceless, they got plowed under.

However - it seems the beast has awakened. But they really must learn to score better. No points are awarded for just beautifully playing. German press says Löw again was anything but happy after the match. Rumour even said he was fuming.

---

And the Belgians showed why before the tournament they were seen as secret favourites. Scoring style: cold as ice. When you play against these, do not party too long the night before, else they might shock-frost you and store you on the rocks.

Italy wins 2-0! There goes Spain (champion in title).

How was the match? I only saw the scores now.

Jimbuna 06-27-16 01:13 PM

Italy completely controlled the match making Spain look rather ordinary and could easily have won by a margin of one or two goals more.

Next up is England v Iceland, the reward for the winners of that game being a quarter final game against France.

It is being rumored Sterling will be in the starting line up, I hope not.

Jimbuna 06-27-16 02:52 PM

England 1- 2 Iceland at half time and no complaints from me.
