That is very nice, as opening vistas go. The whole 'Ruins of the Empire' style is good, I like that, and I also like the Storm Troopers and TIE Fighters. The shakey cam, as I discussed briefly with Raptor last night, is a bit of a concern. Abrams had a habit in the Trek films of making battles too fast and shakey, making it hard to actually see what's going on.
Was nice to see Chewie again though.

Man, at least he got rid of the lens-flare over use he practiced in Star Trek (2009)!

Same here but not at a cinema.

Not bad but like all trailers they are designed to pull you in. Will I see it on the big screen probably not.

SIDE NOTE
I saw the second new Terminator trailer and still feel no I'm not falling for it.

After the prequels this is a win all the way :yep:

Forget about the visuals, not having Lucas direct or write for this is a
huge bonus......

Just spotted this on tumblr, from a quote from someone on facebook regarding the new Star Wars:

Speaking of Star Wars, last week, I was in Seattle and went to their EMP museum. They have a great exhibit of Star Wars costumes.

Funny thing, not one mention of Jar Jar.:har:

For anyone that's watched the latest trailer. Are there any huge story/scene spoilers that you wish you hadn't seen?

Rhodes 10-21-15 04:15 AM

No, this trailer finally made me change the felling that the movie would be terrible to is going to be soooo good!
What I can say is: in the dialogue of Rey and H. Solo characters, is giving the idea of that what happend in the OT fallen to legends realm.
And for me, that raises questions, hopefully answered in the film. Now is just wait!

Nippelspanner 10-21-15 12:15 PM

Right now it really seems as if this movie could be a really good "Star Wars experience".
I will wait for final results and not everything shown in the trailer is perfect in my opinion.

What struck me most was the vastly different soundtrack. Yeah sure, same melody/notes - but you can hear it isn't Williams anymore. A matter of taste for sure, but I prefer Williams style over what I heard so far - nothing that would harm the overall product though, just something I noticed.

Oh and that silly robot with the floating head?
I hate it. :hmph:

Williams is the composer. :O:
