We got to a high of about 46F and pissing it down. :wah:
Forecast is for 5cm/2" of snow tonite and another 5cm/2" tomorrow. The last time they forecast this we got 2 feet. Bring it on!

It was warm and windy yesterday evening (70-100kph/42-62mph). I don't know yet if any of my trees fell. The neighbour had one come down in her driveway. Temperature today is forecast for 30F and a couple of inches of snow.
Good old reliable Ontario Hydro/Hydro One went out again last night. There were 6,500 of us out at one point. That outage lasted 3 hours or so. Thankfully, I've got a generator.

Wild winter weather

Yesterday we enjoyed a spring like day with the temperature reaching mid 60's Fahrenheit. I told the wife it's the calm before the snow storm. And sure enough we have a winter storm watch going into effect Wednesday morning into Thursday, predicting 7" of snow.

On the bright side, we don't live in Buffalo or anywhere near the great lakes snow machine.

When you get snow storms, you get real ones....Not 'lake effect'.
We get both. From the South West, and from the North West. Colorado lows and Alberta Clippers and add in the lake effect. Makes for lots of snow most of the time.
Today we are supposed to get anywhere from 5-15cm/2-5". Last time we were promised 5cm/2" we got a foot.

That is some slick!

Our promised 5-15cm/2-6" of snow amounted to 1/2". Just enough to make the highway a little slippery.

It is a little chilly here this fine A.M. 6F/-15C and clear. There is a 70% chance of either snow or rain for here tomorrow. I am going two hours north and the forecast for there is snow. Gonna be a fun ride. 4 lane highway to North Bay and then the road narrows down to 2 lanes the rest of the way with a few 'passing lanes'.

STEED 11-28-14 08:29 AM

Mild here, T-Shirt weather.

1F/-17C the barometer is rising Wind NNW 5mph we only got about an inch of snow yesterday. The temperature is forecast to stay below freezing (32F/0C) all week. This is a good thing.:yeah:

Must be saving a fortune on ice cubes.

swamprat69er 12-04-14 10:21 AM

I don't use ice cubes. I just put the beverage of choice outside the front door.

At least the priest doesn't need to spend money on a fridge to keep his wine cold.
