My games been far far more stable since I did the 4gb switch on the exe, and got my mods in a good order. Back with my old rig, it would crash every time I added more than a handfull of basic mods.

That's how I found this site
I have actually owned SH4 for a number of years, but my computers where never advanced enough to play it. They could play SH3 but not 4. I finally got a computer that could play 4, and I am sure you can only imagine my disappointment.
I downloaded all the patches, but I can't fix the black BB Colorado. The patches fixed most of my complaints, but I still can't get over how ridiculous the Sub looks when its in rough seas. The Sub is literally flying. Don't the game designers know there is a small thing called Gravity? Anyway I was looking for a Mod to fix this problem, and I ended up here. The only problem is I have never messed with Mods, so I know nothing of how to install them. |
Well you certainly came to the right place DJ, welcome to subsim. I would suggest you check out the guides on adding mods with JSGME. Its actually very simple once you learn it.
|
Yea I'm trying to figure it out. I pretty much just want the fix for rough weather, and I think I would be happy.
I just downloaded Jsmga or whatever it is. I am reading through it, but I still don't know how it works. So now I guess I have to download the Mod, and then try to figure out how to activate it on the game. |
I'm just returning to both SH3 and SH4. This is a good thread to read about some of the available mods. If anyone knows of a good thread in the SH3 section that discusses the high points of what each supermod for SH3 aims to accomplish that would be a great help. I'm finding the focus on complete realism to be good for fixing things but I also like to dial the realism to my personal preference.
For SH4 I think I will go with TMO first then try RFB. |
one thing I have never had is a 'flying sub' - must be something in yuor make up!

TMOwTw 2.50 has a sub flag:yeah:
|
Hi avers
My first game with TMOwTw 2.50 I'm on my 3rd objective if that is the right term. Each time I complete a patrol area I get a radio message and a new patrol area icon with instructions. 1st Patrol area sank the Mogami (Task Force) 2nd patrol area sank the Takao (Task Force) On my way to 3rd patrol area. There are also some cool videos of people super modifying there subs. I think utube has a couple. Someone made there sub so powerful that it was able to jump out of the water like a dolphin over and over. |

Crew Voices
I would like to get a mod that corrects the voices of the crew. My crew for example will not say rudder amidships. They just say rudder, rudder. It drives me batty.
There are a few other things they say that are incorrect. Has anyone made a mod that fixes this? |
