School off Monday, just as I predicted.

The plan is going wonderfully. :haha:

IF you don't want to go to school, then you could go to the pool hall instead.:D

I see that the North eastern US is getting some snow, freezing rain and what have you. Stay dry and safe you guys.

Heard on the news that Nikkaluokta had -40.5° C yesterday evening. :o

It's a village far up to the north.

Saw an NFL game being played in near blizzard conditions on UK news last night.

Not sure if this is the same game:

More snow coming your way, Wolferz, Armistead and privateer.
The chances are between now and Friday night I could see 19-20". Bring it on!

I'm surprised they called school for tomorrow.

Not mad though...you won't see me complaining.

Living in a village in mid-Norway at the moment. Weather has been alternating between snow and rain for weeks now, with more snow each time. Last snowfall gave us a generous 50 centimetres of snow:)... which is now raining away.

Mid-winter temperatures will plummet to -30 degrees celcius, and it can get quite windy here, too:huh:. The worst I've every experienced is -15, and I thought that was cold:O:.

I was going to suggest that you take an extra few days, but a whole week? Naw, I wont suggest that. But the thought has been planted.:D

Layer your clothes and wear a scarf over your mouth and nose. You will be okay. At those temps your warm hands will stick to metal momentarily, so wear mitts/gloves.
