Hi all,
I just installed both
"German U-Boat Hydrophone SFX" and "German U-Boat Internal Routine SFX" MODs, but I noticed that they are in conflict with " Environmental MOD for Silent Hunter 5 version 3.6".

Which is the correct order to install theese MODS?

Tnx for answers

mauriga

mauriga,
As these are just audio files that i have created; thats all that would be conflicting with other members mods. Just choose which is the better sound and delete the other.

I don't test my mods with other members mods and nor should anyone do the same for that matter, only when mega mods start to appear is when I will test in relation to the mega ones.

:timeout:

There is only one person who gets the full credit for that idea and that is none other than "Carotio:know:" This method of linking posts which "Carotio:know:" informed me of makes the mod delivery package with this thread just that little more professional.

Unterseeboot SFX

  • This mod replaces six original Silent Hunter V internal German U-Boats audio files with modded versions.
  • The six audio files which have been modded are as follows;
  • amb_SubmarineInterior_Q.wav (1 hour continuous non-repetitive SFX)
  • ambiance_Command-room_Q.wav (converted to silent)
  • ambiance_Conning_tower_Q.wav (converted to silent)
  • ambiance_Kitchen_sequence.wav (converted to silent)
  • ambiance_Radio-room.wav (converted to silent)
  • ambiance_Torpedo-room_Q.wav (converted to silent)
  • All audio files contained within this mod were created by Venatore.
  • Walking within the confines of your Unterseeboot from bow to stern the 1 hour continuous non-repetitive SFX audio file will enable you to talk to the men in the forward torpedo compartment whilst hearing distant coughing, hatches shutting, whispering, footsteps, the cook at work, you will also experience the constant sounds of the hull of the Unterseeboot straining against the ocean and there’s even more! Whilst operating the hydrophone you will still hear the crew's routine.
  • For best results you should consider using my audio mods called;
  1. German U-Boat Hydrophone SFX.
  2. German U-Boat Crew Language Pack.
  3. U-Boat Watch Crew Routine SFX.
  4. Silent Seagulls.
  • This mod is JSGME compatible.
  • This mod is zipped with WinRAR.
  • This mod supersedes my German U-Boat Internal Routine SFX mod

Thank you for downloading this mod

Kind Regards

Venatore.

tonschk,

I hope so; as I consider this particular mod (Unterseeboot) to be my pride & joy :D above all my mods ever made including SHIII.

Let the Silent Hunter community be the judge, jury and executioner of this mod...before I go strutting :|\\

Thanks for your feedback...

Hi Venatore,

Thanks for another one of your great sound mods. I use all your others and think that they really add to the feel of the game.

I use WinRAR to extract files, but I am having some difficulties with this one. When I extract I am getting the following error:-

! C:\Users\John\Desktop\New Folder\Unterseeboot.rar: Cannot create Unterseeboot \data\Sound\ambiance_Command-room_Q.wav
! The system cannot find the path specified.

This error message repeats for each part of the file.

Thanks for your help.

Edit: I have now sorted it, thanks

Another great mod. Can you do something about the boat's engine noise? It almost drowns the speeches.

speedbird 09-12-10 08:34 AM

Thank you Venatore, very well done. :yeah:
