Ghost Crewman,
The u-boat is haunted!
If you man the guns, the crew members in the bunk bed will jump out of bed and ... disappear! I think it works for a sub game, because you want it to have that depressing Ingrid Bergman vibe. |

Not sure if this can be classed as an easter egg or not...
Was ordered to return to base having not completed the "Total Germany" campaign. Went to see the officer to get my new orders, whereapon he says to me "The situation has got worse Bernard" I did chuckle:D Ok back to your French baiting - sorry to have taken the thread off topic:hmmm: |
In SH4, there were names of members here at SubSim
coded into the SH4.exe. I was told by Dan (and tested it, it worked!) that the coffee cup would change images in the office. Those same names are in the SH5.exe So is there an Easter Egg like that still hideing? :hmmm: I can not play the Game to test this as yet! |
In SH4 Gold there were several subsimmers' names in the credits as well.
Kresge posted this over in the 'Screenshots' thread: http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/6477/creditk.jpg |
And some people say they don't care about us. :nope:
While rummaging through the code, I noticed a Frigate of the class "What is this?!". Might be leftover Flying Dutchman bits, or maybe it's simply in there again. At any rate, be on the lookout for a mystery ship. :) |

Frankly I don't think the French surrendering counts as an easter egg.
This probably isn't an easter egg but I sunk a British submarine west of the Shetlands. Didn't know you could do that :D |

SORRY !!! I couldn't let that one slip by. As the person that sort of started the ENTIRE French thing, may I ask that we get back to Easter Eggs only. |

...because they wanted to annex USA later? Enough of the french talk now and on to merry easter eggs but I want prof of that. Sounds like yankee were-the-best-in-the-world-talk.

Early in our newfound national identity there was a very strong love for all things French, perhaps too strong in a couple of cases. On the other hand there was a distrust of the new French government after their revolution, which led to some entertaining battles within President Washington's cabinet. But the people on the spot, especially Thomas Paine, who actually became a member of the French parliament, reported no such talk. |
I have an actual easter egg here. I'm on my first patrol out of Lorient and I was talking to my XO. He said he had something he needed to tell me. Kurt, the torpedo maat, was planning on modifying torpedoes to use as floating mines. This is exactly how some of our modders rigged up a makeshift minelaying mod for SH3. I think it was a wink and a nod to them.

I'm waiting for one of the crew to complain that the sea is the wrong shade of blue.
