That's why I make sure that I virtually sleep with my mouth closed.

There are only two ways to be a centrist:

1) Intentionally play the middle, refusing to take one side or the other (which both sides like to call "fence-sitting").

2) Take every issue separately. The same defense of liberty gets me labelled a "Righty" where guns, economics and government-run anything are concerned and a "Lefty" when it comes to abortion and gay rights. Hence, depending on the questions, I usually show up somewhere near the middle.

So I'm not really a Centrist, I just play one on TV.

Not so much with the 'Authoritarian' vs 'Libertarian' question.

How does it go? 'If you don't stand for something, You'll fall for anything.

As saddened as I am to say it, that is what happened on November 4, 2008. Many fell for centrist speach from a devote leftist.

Which is usually said by someone who already fell for something but can't bring himself to admit it.

Aw, you had to go and get all opinionated on us. I agree, but that's true of most candidates, from any side.

The last time someone said the country is going to hell in a handbasket, I replied that it always has been - just ask anyone on the losing side of any election.

I did not vote for Obama. Mainly because I'm not a follower. I didn't much like McCain, but in my mind his record in the Senate made him the lesser of two evils. McCain is a centrist.
