1) Intentionally play the middle, refusing to take one side or the other (which both sides like to call "fence-sitting"). 2) Take every issue separately. The same defense of liberty gets me labelled a "Righty" where guns, economics and government-run anything are concerned and a "Lefty" when it comes to abortion and gay rights. Hence, depending on the questions, I usually show up somewhere near the middle. So I'm not really a Centrist, I just play one on TV. Not so much with the 'Authoritarian' vs 'Libertarian' question. |
