Well I think I'm going to scrap my "Cookies for Calais" idea seeing as how hard it is to get a Mossie with a 4,000lb bomb up in air. I think I'll stick with the FB Mossie or something else. Oh and can we try a night mission with the ground attack planes on Wendsday if there is enough time?

We managed to get the blockbusters to Calais by taking off very carefully

I'll try practicing taking off in that version soon, I wonder how mush difference there is on takeoff with and without that 4000lber.

Take half the fuel you'd normally take and use the entire length of the runway. Worked for me and Raptor, but then they hit the invisible trees, and I alt tab'd out of IL2 to turn up the teamspeak volume, thinking that the level stabiliser would save me, but it put me in the invisible trees with Raptor and Xabba. :har:

Oberon I managed to get the "Cookie Bomber" with the full fuel and bomb load off of that airfield we've been flying out of (Kenley I think it is) has at one end of the long runway has the hill with invisible trees and the other end (the end where we were taking off from) has no invisible trees. Biggin Hill is more suited for the "Cookie Bombers" as it has a much longer runway, but that is currently being used by the blue group, so unless the groups change airfields, us Mossie pilots will have to stick to what we've got. Raptor1 was right about having to use the brakes during take off!!

Well, at least I'm glad I contributed to the immense success of the Blue wing's last sortie :O:

Now we only need the Lancaster and the 12,000lb blockbuster bomb and we're set

No what we really need is the Lanc with the 22,000lb Grand Slam bomb. Give me that and there won't be any Calais left!!!

Schroeder 04-08-09 10:49 AM

I think the modded Mosquito is still quite buggy. Just look at your RPM gauge on take off and you will see why you have such a hard time to get it airborne. You simply don't get full power (RPMs) until you have reached a certain airspeed. Besides I think the modded version is also over sensitive to elevator movements.

I wont be flying tonight.

a bit too tired so don't feel like flying this evening.

also, I will skip aside the training and replace it with the Biggins hills sorties.
I hope the bit training we had as far it goes with the fighters will help in the campaign missions.

We will resume a bit of training when required.

also I'm going to modify the Biggins hill campaign even more.
I shall modify an fair amount of aircraft to take offs and lock the ones that have a air start to AI only.

What!!! http://smilies.sofrayt.com/fsc/asleep.gif :03: Ah well it'll give me a bit time to set this bloody rig up, been threatening to do it since last week. :salute:

Kptlt. Neuerburg 04-08-09 01:34 PM

Well there goes my practice flying the "Cookie Bomber"!!! Seeing as how Hunter won't be flying tonight is someone else going to host the server then? Just a suggestion how about we swap the schedule around i.e instead of flying practice missions on Monday and Wednesday and doing a sortie on Friday, how about Monday and Wednesday we fly the Biggin Hill campaign and on Friday we do practice. Seeing as how practice is turning more into comic relief than anything so its a chance to let off some steam from the campaign. But its just an idea.

Task Force 04-08-09 01:51 PM

So... can someone else host like red max said. (Xabbarus maby could.)
