:DHihi, good luck, Gordon.
Just wait until the time you are fighting a ruthless battle where both sides are taking heavy losses, and you order an air strike on a hill with AT guns, just to have one of the planes shot down and crash into your 76mm Sherman with über-crew.:stare: The odds, oh the odds. |
great game but right now I am stuck on one of the russian campaign missions called Libaration, takes place in spring 1944. Kind of a a piss off, I have to attack a german held village, the problem is, I get a platoon of T-34/85s, with another platoon availible halfway through as reinforcements. I also get about 2-3 rifle platoons. I am going up against at least 2 platoons of Tiger IIs probably another two platoons of infantry, with sime Panzer IIIs, IVs and Panthers added in as well. My T-34s can't touch the tigers, and they can't get close enough because as soon as they are detected the tigers take them out with their 88s.

But I applaud it for the taking the seldom used realism approach these days. Also interesting to note that the game was built on the Il-2 Sturmovik engine, which probably helped to cut costs. |
