Hellas1, the donation timeframe lasts only one week. After that it will be available to all for free as I stated in my posts mate.

The only thing that may make it tough to get for a few days is the demand on host sites. We will put download mirrors up as necessary to handle the load / internet traffic.

Last year when we released GWX 1.0, keeping GWX accessible was very tough due to very high demand.

Everybody will be able to download it free after the first week, as the Kpt. said in his previous post, we have no intentions to profit with the mod, all we want to do is give Neal a hand with the maintenance of this forum, so the ones willing to donate a few bucks to subsim will get an early download link.

I have no problems at all donating a few bucks....I run my own site too and it gets expensive!

Will there be a minimum 'suggested' donation or just whatever you feel like contributing?

I think that whatever you feel like contributing to Subsim will be fine.

once the career has ended, i will likely retire SH3 to the loftiest place on my shelf-o-games where it will hold the highest position.

Out of all the "games" i have seen come and go over many years i can think of NO OTHER that has had such wonderful support from such an amazing community. I can think of NO OTHER which i have learned so much from, nor can i think of any other game which has inspired me to read, research, draw and learn as much as i could about any other field of conflict than this one.

SH3 was destined to be an instant classic the moment it hit the shelves... but the mod community, the GWX team, and the members of this forum have served to make it what it is today...

Guess my lurking here in the forums (during my free time) has finally paid off =) Big-time congratulations to the GWX crew. I know how much work you've put into this and it sounds fantastic. Now, just gotta find the time to actually PLAY it ;)

Oh yeah, very classy move to make the first week of downloading donations-only to Subsim. Neal et al. have made the community's best site and deserve all of our support. And this is a great way to give back to Subsim.

Those interested should also look into the Subsim Almanac. Got it for Christmas last year, lots of great reading in there.

I would just like to thank all connected with the new GWX 2 game and the hundreds of hours plus you guys spent making this happen. You have just made an old man so happy.
