You forgot to include Russia (not even the capital) :hmm:

:shifty::shifty::nope:
Reducing the hole matter to a matter of >>him<< (Hitler) simplyfies it way to much. What a untrue and yet common phrase. I hate that :damn:

Sry for not keeping the topic, but it's annoying to see people talk about ww2 like that

Most of the European area of the Soviet Union was conquered.

Spain was already a Fascist state that sympathized with Germany when WW2 started. Do people not read history books are all of you reading the PC versions?

SH3 with GWX ofcourse!:arrgh!:

The GWX team have done such a great job with adding both realism and eyecandy to this game taking it to another level. And the Pacific theatre does not interest me as much as the Atlantic and the U-Boats anyway.

camabear 07-22-07 05:18 PM

I have it....

My wife bought it for me, but my system is just to slooow. So I won't move on until I can afford an upgrade. I really like U-Boats too, so I am going to stick with this for quite a while. This is a great game.

Seems to me SH IV would be the opposite of SH III -- where SH III slowly increases in difficulty as the Allies gain control of the sea lanes, SH IV would get easier as the war went on as the Japanese Navy was whittled down.

The Happy Hunting Grounds would have been off China and Japan in 1945.

Where is the fun in the shooting gallery at the end of your career?

Scape 07-23-07 12:22 AM

That's my thoughts exactly... where's the sport in that?

SH# w/GWX I hear SHIV has better crew management but that's not enough for me to switch considering how good a mod GWX is.

That was the exact same thing with SH1. It's historical accurate but perhaps less playable. Other games tend to get more difficult as you progress ;)

me. has not moved to sh4...except for modding it.

It must have been that little bit he didn't conquer that led to his demise then.
I don't have a problem with reading thank you....in fact I am fortunate enough to have a living father who fought through this terrible era :yep: and his recollection is that Russia played a major role (attacking from the eastern EUROPEAN direction)
Do I detect an element of baiting ? :hmm:
If you are in fact retired as is suggested in your forum info, we at least have something in common. I am as yet not retired though.
In this forum as in my RL position I try to adhere to what the majority of people recognise as acceptable prctice/behaviour. I also strive to conform with the rules of this forum and treat fellow contributors with courtesy and respect.

I am just surprised that so many people are willing to be spoonfed their opinions is all. No disrespect or baiting involved. There are many things that led to Hitler's demise, not just one country. Considering the WHOLE WORLD was allied against him, it's surprising he lasted as long as he did. One has to wonder...the Soviet Union far exceeded Germany with the number of people they executed/tortured/oppressed during their existence. Yet people are more than willing to sing the praises of that Communist country. I don't think the rules of the forum require that everyone have the exact same opinion and be led around like sheep.

Well, we can certainly agree on what atrocities Stalin committed :yep: I for one am not the type of person to sing the praises of any country really...least of all the USA or UK at times. :nope:
If evererybody studied history in depth you would probably get a myriad of reasons about why man goes to war, and in almost every case there would be a religious or political element involved.
Perhaps that is one of the major strengths of this forum 'freedom of speech' and the chance to 'publicly post your opinion'......but always in the spirit of respect and courtesy toward others. :sunny:

Jim i think we both know that this forum is far from a place where Free speach is allowed.;) If you point out something that leaves the powers that be around here with egg on there face. It is a one way ticket to a PM mauling by the modderators, Then a ban for using one yes one out of line sentance. Very far from a place where Freedom of speach is welcome. :yep:

As for moving to play sh4 , You have got to be kidding i would not even think of playing that piece of trash again after what i encountered when it was realesed

TteFAboB 07-23-07 11:11 AM

I haven't moved because I'm waiting for a super mod.
