has to be Kirk of course BUT "Kill 'em all" Janeway (as oppose to "hmm ..that's interesting" Sisko or "if i stand here long enough something will happen" Picard)
has to be the closest to Kirk in her utterly insane decisions regarding the prime directive (and it's ilk)#
a fairly good example of this is when Voyager discovers the million year old collosal antena array...(a truly ancient artifact of a alien culture that is spread across an entire section of the universe.)..and destroys it just so she can evade two persueing ships..pure Kirk....in fact remember that Original series episode when kirk and an ex girlfriend swop bodys?.....reckon janeway IS Kirk LOL:hmm: :lol:

Here is another list of Starfleet Captains, and a list of all Enterprises in the Star Trek Continueum.

As for the Captains on the list, which Sisko should have been one of them, and would have been my prefered choice. This is how I would rate them:
1) Kirk
2) Picard
3) Archer
4) Janeway

Even though Picard was a great captain, and had a definatly different approuch to command then any of the other captains, the fact that his character attempted to become Kirk-Lite in the Next Generation Movies . . . means that Kirk is the mold that he wanted to fit into . . . and thus is better then Picard. If it wasn't for that change in the character, I would have went for Picard.

Sulu, Bateson, Shelby, Scott, and Jellico
