Not really important, but I thought I'd mention it.

Just a fun note: on early (pre-WWI) German dreadnoughts there were six turrets, the last two being Emil and Friedrich, but since there were two wing turrets on each side the letters went around in a circle to the right.

.....A

Hi!

We will update the manual accordingly.

Thanks!

I bet the SH4 crew is quaking in their boots - "Get to work on the historical parts of our manual boys" and "Did we include Operation Crimson?".

You have set a new standard for excellent performance, well done GWX Team!!!!

I do have one question, after reading the whole thing, and then putting my burning socks back on . . .

I like to manage my crew - it says that fatigue is locked at 32x and below (from basic.cfg, if I remember) but it also says, for max enjoyment, do not use Grey Wolves 24h fatigue. If I liked the old fatigue model, does the team have any recommendations? I like to change my watches as I cross the atlantic at 128 - I know it says "season to taste" but I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to break what is obviously a finely honed machine.

Of course, I am not looking a gift horse in the mouth, I will just have to cross the Atlantic at 32x, it will just be a bit harder with the wife and all . . .

Anyway, all that aside, what a marvelous manual!!!!

The fact the crew fatigue only works below x32 TC has nothing to do with the actual model you're using, but with your time compression values. You can change these with SH3 commander or edit the cfg. Crew fatigue doesn't occur past the 3d rendering TC rate, which happens to be 32 by default. You can kick 3d rendering up all the way to 1024, and the crew fatique will work at the maximum default time compression level.

Hi!

Those values were still under review when the manual was prepared; a future release of the manual will include them.

Hi all ! ;)
I saw the GWX dev team member who have translated the game to french is not credited, and there is no mention about a french translation ! Strange, cause KPT Lehmann told me there will be a french in-game translation ! :88):hmm:

Hi!

I think we put that credit on page 159 (page 163 out of 182). Please take a look and see if

1) we have the credit in

2) we credited the right person.

If in either case the answer is "no" please send me a PM with the correct information.

Thanks!

Pablo

GWX Manual On Fileshare Site

Kpt, I have just uploaded the manual to my own fileshare page now, in case anyone needs another place to download it. I probably should have done it sooner, but there doesn't appear to be anyone having any problems yet. The link is in my signature if you want to update the first post with it.

Thanks. Nice to know it wasn't some "strange" color combination.

I noted that you have change the Sensors.dat file, will you be providing a file ( Sensors_data.txt ) to support TT mini-tweaker ????

Also

I noted on page 88, that Hungary is getting a FW200. I think that the Germans were the only military operators of this type of aircraft

fredbass 12-13-06 07:10 PM

Pablo, that's some very professional work you've done. Now you've got me curious what you do for a living?

Alex 12-13-06 07:11 PM

@ Pablo : Aw ! thanks for telling me the page where i can find the credit, I was simply not searching on the right page.... Thanks, Pablo. And.... Awesome work.

After downloading and studying the GWX manual and realizing how much work has gone into it , i am almost embarrased to ask how long before the release of GWX .

AVGWarhawk 12-13-06 08:03 PM

Just on the horizon Sober, I see the smoke. Soon you will see the masts and it will be time to engage the enemy:yep:

Sailor Steve 12-13-06 08:05 PM

I just finished reading (or skimming) the second half, and it looks great! I like all the new boats and ships, and the explanations and photo comparisons.

Can't wait for the real thing, though I actually will wait quite a while.
