LOL, I understand Jim. As I said, it was a "what if" reply to go with the poll. It's was only meant as what if things were different with GWX, which I know they aren't and won't be.

I'm fine with the way things are with GWX and have/had no intention of "rocking the boat". I hope they all understand that as I know it would never be sold.

Righteo then!!.......put me down for $100 then ;)

GT182 08-20-07 11:20 AM

LMAO... I see you are now a member of the "what ifs" too Jim. ;)

And I agree with you, it certainly would be worth every bit of $100.00 IMHO.

I put down 30-50. It's a great expansion for Silent Hunter III. Coupled with the other MODs I use, it is the best Sub Sim I've ever played.

Regreatable, I cannot get into the American theatre of operations. There is somthing there that I'm not liking, either that it is the mystike of being on the loosing team. Silent Hunter IV I would say was ground breaking on the incorperation of grapic engines. Whats more, in the Atlantic I feel that I am not discrediting anyone by using a number like U-11 or U-435, but when in the Pacific, when they give me the Barb, or the Silversides, or many of the other named boats, I think for me at least, it hurts the immersion factor because I feel that I have to measure up to the men on the boat... Not sure why I feel this way, but it's been plauging me since release.

I found grey wolves about the time SHIV was released, I had been out of touch, but thanks for the expansion, I think it is really great.

I'd offer it one of my cigars and two of my home made fruitcakes for it for sure.

If GWX were payware I believe I'd be willing to part with $15-$30 for the increased enjoyment it provides, and so I've cast my vote accordingly.

You know, it seems to me that you GWX developers have taken an already fine off-the-shelf game and turned it into a nearly perfect work of art. I am constantly amazed at your talents. You are obviously a group of individuals with a passion for the North Atlantic theatre, and a sharp eye for historical details -- it shows in the quality of your product. If you ever decide to create a stand-alone product, it would be worth every bit of $60 to me. With you guys at the helm, I can't help but think it would quickly become the "Das Boot" of sub simulations.

Many thanks for GWX.

its so good, its worth money

however, as a poor college kid, even if its worth money, if they charged for it, i would no be able to get it regardless. I cant afford payware for any game

Ive spent $30 on Navyfield since it went retail, and less then $10 on other payware in my whole life.

I'd pay around £15-30 for it.
Payware mods....

Petsman 09-27-07 03:56 AM

Hmm, looks like 51% will pay for it!( according to poll results until now)
I would pay 15 dollars , altough at first i voted for no pay!:D

kkentopanga 09-29-07 01:04 PM

Should I be suprised?

I can not believe that 41 % of the voting forum members would not pay for GWX. I am not a rich man but I have purchased off the shelf sims between $19 & $ 39. (I save to buy) GWX is a lot more interesting then many of these I have bought. The mods guys work their butts of for no pay and we reap the rewards of their outpute. Again I am not a rich man but not pay anything. Everytime I download a mod, or reload GWX I feel like a thief.

The above are personal thoughts and if they tick anyone off I appologize in advance,

Support GWX and the forum

To be blunt i was very surprised and if the truth be known a little disgusted to think that after all the hard work that the mods put in to make this great simulation such a class act that about 40% of people on here thought it was not worth even a dollar of their money.
