So ubi, there you have it:

This community has been your link to your customers' opinions.

This community has also prolonged your products' (SH2,SH3) shelf life over and over again, because of all the countless hours of work that was spent by the modders to whom we all owe so much.

If you should be willing to honour these brave people, you ought to publish this patch.

Moreover, this is the chance to re-establish some goodwill, that UBI has clearly lost since the publication of SH4 with all its bugs (...and no, I'm neither flaming nor griping, I'm stating facts - read the threads).

I think we all love a good subsim, and we see the potential in SH4.
All we ask for is a little co-operation, that allows us to stay loyal to it.

my personal hope is that UBI will react - in any form - to show us that they still know we exist, and that they still take their customers' voices seriously.

Ubisoft, please release that patch ASAP so I can finally buy the game, I've been hearing all sorts of stories about SH4. :down:

I currently own SHII and SHIII but havn't managed to exhaust their full potential as I don't have much time these days for PC gaming, but having seen the video's etc of SHIV I was really tempted to get that as well, just based on the graphics. However I then started to read the reviews and comments here and have held off adding SHIV to my collection. We're used to Microsoft rushing a product to market and then sorting out the bugs, but I wouldn't of thought UBI would follow suit !

I could understand it if the bugs were things that the development team could not of predicted, such as some issues with obsquire graphics card or chipset, but it seems that the bugs are gaps left by the programmers, or where the new coding simply hasn't been tested 100% to make sure it works.

Based on the comments here I don't think I will be adding SHIV to my collection, at least not until this issues raised in this thread have been addressed.

I have spent the past 3 weeks assembling my new rig at a cost of well over $8,000 (Can) just to do this game the justice I expected it to deserve. Thanks for saving me
those last few dollars if you don't FINISH this game.

If these glaring problems will not be getting fixed I hope the SDK gets released pronto. I will then pick up one of the hundreds of $10 used copies that will be floating around and send the balance of the price directly to the modders.

As I recall the last patch only fixed eyecandy and stuff, something a lot of us would have prioritized lower than the +70 game stopping bugs this sim still is infected with :damn:

Well as pretty much everyone is amazed at the the sheer panto like situation that has arisen regarding the SHIV 1.3 patch,it`s fully understandable how so many people are giving up with Ubi and boycotting future releases.

Although it`s of little consolation to the people who have already handed over their cash,I hope that my customer review over on http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/6244...c/Product.html (one of Europes biggest online retailers for those who don`t know) will help save a few people from disappointment in the future.
