Fascinating. I agree with the SH5 people that it looks so much better than SH3. I love SH4 just for its graphics.

That said, every time I see a screenshot like the one above I'm reminded that SH3 has its own special feel, one that may not be as technically realistic, but still shines in its own light. The closest I can come to a comparison is comparing the old '50s Superman series to more modern versions. The newer ones are shinier, but the classic is still a classic, and for a good reason. :sunny:

You've right Steve, I agree completly.

Nice shot indeed.

Raiding a british sub base, on my way out i notice a destroyer thats responded but has hit what appears to be a sandbar and is run aground

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...blic/SH013.jpg

thats fine with me, i take advantage of this and take my time to maneuver into a better position - los torpedo!

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...blic/SH021.jpg

Following the torpedo i find out the destroyer hadn't run aground in shallow water, but was hung up in front of some netting

torpedo impacts

I stay in the bay and make observations in 2 minute intervals until i confirm she sinks

HMS Achates confirmed sunk![along with two subs, and one patrol craft from the raid at the harbor in the background prior] u-267 stalks away with high moral

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...blic/SH018.jpg

ultimately was just testing the screenshots using third party software since i only get a portion of the screen captured when using the high resolution fix - still alot of distortion going on in the screen shots
