August 27, 1939. U-64 is patrolling BF14, awaiting orders, when a ship comes out of the fog heading straight towards her!
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...172920_137.jpg They only missed colliding by a few hundred meters. Still, as the Americans say, a miss is as good as a mile. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...173119_106.jpg September 2. A ship is sighted in the distance. It's almost certainly not Polish, but still it doesn't hurt to check. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...183047_793.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3..._18390_184.jpg Upon a closer approach it turns out to be an American tanker. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...183917_512.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...184041_168.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...184046_481.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...184220_356.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...184419_793.jpg Goodbye. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...184728_247.jpg |

A good example of the good sensors of the Allied ships in WW2 ^^ They found me all the time. :DL 1kn silent running (but they hit many times so i had to do repairs) zig zag course , changing depth i try everything to get them away. But i am sure they will follow me to my home port and sink the ships there and the whole Harbour. :har:

^^^ Great job! :up:
I especially like the underwater shots of the fish just before impact. Well done! :salute: |
@Jimbuna and Vendor
Nice kills and very good shots. The RN is now one carrier and one battleship down! |
The Rodney gets sunk so many times. :hmmm::O:

It's either amazing determination or sheer stupidity. Most crews would give up after hitting bottom the first time, but those chaps on the Rodney just can't get enough! :haha: |
