Looks pretty cool for a sun, though! Bill |
These last shots were of the "moon"????, I thought they were of the new sun, untill I read instead of just looking at the pictures.
Surely these are Sun shots, not Moon shots. |
FooFighter was about to go to bed he was very tired

That is what you get when your girlfriend is nagging about coming to bed.. :rotfl: :rotfl: |
Was tinkin bout once this is done. Is there some way to campaign to get a magazine to publish an article on this? THe kind of work Kriller and Leo are doing deserves to be written about.
Add some info on the latest patch, NSM, TM, RFB, and run siolent, run deep, and the game might get a whole new influx of users. |

Good idea
Dolphins would actually be a nice addition kriller. Its an awesome sight. If you want a good example, theres a part in the movie Under Siege were the Dolphin is "Riding the bow wave" of the ship, it is in the beginning. If that could be duplicated it would definatly add to the game.
"Factoid" Propulsion on an Iowa Class battleship. The five-bladed inboard screws were 17 feet in diameter while the 4 bladed wing screws were 18’-3” in diameter. The design power output was 212,000 shaft horsepower (shp), with a 20% overload (up to 254,000 shp). During the New Jersey’s sea trials in December 1943 the engine room generated 221,000 shp, clocking 31.9 kts with a displacement of 56,928 tons. Their design speed was about 33.5 kts (38 mph), but a lightly loaded hull (51,000 tons) would have been capable of achieving 35.4 kts (40.25 mph). |

For six or so years back in the 70's and 80's I did surf photography on the SoCal and Mexico coastline ... the diffusion and shades of color (as kriller mentioned) are now so life like. It's getting hard to tell the real from the sim. Keep it up and it will be a case of life imitating art! ;) . |
With all of the new environmental controls for the game I found
I have been able to work with so much more that we never did before. New way's to get the ocean to reflect sky color more as well as the sun's color's and reflections. I have been using examples of sun set's and sun rises pictures I found on the net for the Pacific. And trying my best to imitate them as well as the game can handle it.
I am trying my best to enhance all the hard work Kriller2 and Jaketoox is doing so that the over all impact is as amazing as possable in game. Both above and bellow the water. Plus getting all the other smaller eliments working better as well like ship and sub reflections and the search light's working their best and so forth for the Beta release of the mod. Like this fishing boat how the color of the sky is getting shown on it and tha sails and how clean the reflection of it on the water is and the colors of it show up in the reflection. http://static3.filefront.com/images/...gwockgdhjp.jpg |
