Try this , added delete SH5 folder from my documents.

How to start the campaign if using sobers mega mod list
Delete the SH5 folder from my documents.
Enable the mod OPEN HORIZONS II_full v2 with the mod enabler.
Start a new campaign with only OPEN HORIZONS II_full v2 enabled.
Do the tutorial mission with only OPEN HORIZONS II_full v2 enabled.
Once captain rahn has talked to you and you have recieved the green tick in the bunker exit the game.
Load all the mods with the mod enabler using the MEP file.
Start the game and load the latest save game which will be the bunker save game.
Go to the technical officer and enter the upgrade screen and choose the rotating hydrophone.
Before clicking on the flotilla comander hit esc and go to the ingame options screen and choose your difficulty options .
Exit out of the upgrade screen and go talk to the flotilla commander and choose a mission .
You must get a loading screen before being placed on the submarine.

It might take a while to download all this but I guess there's no better start for this game :) Hopefully i won't screw up too much (it's a talent of mine, lol)

Good morning, I have a problem to put the list of recommended mods, when I start a new campaign to close the game and jump to the desktop, which you know can be the problem?

Only a problem if you install the mods wrong :yep:

Did you place the yellow jsgme (mod enabler icon ) into your main SH5 game folder and double click on it ?

One problem I've got with the list is I can't hear anything through the hydrophone other than my own sub noise. Hydrophone guy works ok and picks up contacts as he should, but if I take over station......silence! no ship noises at all :dead:

I can hear all ships , what depth are you at ?

Periscope depth, around 15m. I've tried deeper but can't hear anythin. Hydrophone guy picks em up and there is a contact line on the chart.....

Maybe this is foolish answer but try to rig for silent and stop all engines, wait for sub to stop then do a sweep:hmmm:

Tried that.....nothing :hmmm:

The ship could be almost on top of me and still cant hear it so I'm guessing it's something to do with the sound files? The hydrophone guy is doing his job so I guess the patcher has worked?

I checked little my game files, I use real nav. you said that you have lines to contacts. So maybe the lines are longer than hydro can reach so that is the reason and another thing may be the volume. I followed long range contact and I had to raise the volume on my PC because it was pretty hard to hear it. And check the angles your hydro can hear. :hmmm:

Do you still make your recommended changes to the new saved games file before loading the bunker save?

I tried re-installing all over again and following these exact instructions, but the outcome was the same: CTD at game load. Hoewever, disabling TDW Ship Inertia mod did the trick for me too, now it works like a charm!

Cant use your profile because the Updated_death_scale by gap is nowhere to find, not in the 1.5GB onefile not anywhere else. Could someone reup it? Thx
