Bad news for the first upload drop box give me an error on 1 files so now i am re uploading with the basic uploader to see if it fix the problem.

Ok i am starting to understand how drop box work i dont even have to upload the file just putting the file in my drop box folder do it automatically only one strange problem with this method upload speed is cut by half so i will have to read on their forum to understand why.

The second video is indicated as successful go check in your drop box folder if you have access to it and report back please.

Edit: Ok i found out why in drop box option we can set the bandwith to max but browsing internet is slow so a setting of 90% of your bandwith should be fine if you dont do heavy browsing.

By the way Reaper can you write a post to all our supporters and explain clearly how they can sign up on drop box to upgrade our storage space?

Hans, has the login info changed? Im unable to login to dropbox using my current login info.

I just login with my current username and password but first you need to sign up on the drop box link and install the synch application and your folder will be automatically update with the new content upload by any team members:up:

It is working fine and i confirm that both videos tutorials are in DB foder and i download them to test and everything work perfectly fine:woot:

Also i need every team members to give me a notice when they have download the tutorial so i can deleted them and upload new one when my storage limit is reach.

Hi Team-Members, was gone for the last few hours so didn't get to explain the set up regarding Dropbox.

DropBox Setup

• First click this Link to get the Download (Don't download direct from there site) http://db.tt/GgJbEAZ (Please use this Link, otherwise we won't get the extra storage space :wah:

• This link brings you to the 'Create a Free Dropbox Account Page'.

• Use your u-boot email for the UserName and the same password you used for website access.

• Click create Account this will download the DropBox Installation Package.

• Install and login :salute:

Check your U-Boot email account (Via Gmail) There is an Invite from me to Join the Shared Folder there. Accept the Invite :up:.


You will now be able to access the Shared Dropbox from:

A. The U-Boot-Hahd.com website Members Area (Usual login details).
B. From your Computer C:\Users\(Your PC Account\Dropbox\U-Boot_HAHD.
C. From www.dropbox.com (So access from anywhere in the world here).


@Hans you need to still accept the Shared Folder Invite from your u-boat email account, as folders are not linked Yet.

The Videos Uploads are in your Personal Dropbox and not shared yet.
Once you are linked to The U-Boat_Hahd Dropbox account you will have access to all the Folders.
Just move the Videos from your folder to the Tutorials Folder :up:

Well worth doing as you get 2GB of online storage that is linked to your PC - so great way to backup Important Files etc.
Also I create a shared folder for Public Access so you will get U-Boot_HAHD goddies first before everyone else :yeah:

I am using Dropbox for almost a year ago now and it's a great application, indeed. Having already an account I cannot help any of you in that area (gaining extra space due to refferals), but I hope some will do that, you only need their email addresses to be able to send them the Dropbox invite. And one more thing: creating different multiple "dummy" email addresses in order to "trick" the system doesn't work, because the system takes into account the PC that the user is using as well.

I accept the invited and now the second video show up in tutorial folder and third video currently uploading.

But like i say the team will need to send me a notice that they already have the video tutorial and that they copy it on their hardrive because i will need to deleted them to have more storage to upload the rest.

The 2 latest videos are 220 MB each so at this rate the dropbox storage capacity will be reach in no time.

So for those who forgot to send me a notice that you have it then you will have to do without the video after i deleted it because i am not going to spend all my time uploading so i hope i am clear enough on this:salute:

Edit: Ijust send a friend of mine and we now have an extra 250 MB.

The fourth video will be upload shortly after tonight.

Still one way you could do it is install in Internet cafes and such using different emails if one really wanted the space bad enough :D



Still Might be worth leaving them there for a while if we do get our space up to the 10GB mark (Seems they increased to 10GB from 8GB :D).
We would have plenty of space then for the videos and other files :up:.

Looking forward to the Videos. My Document Dropbox is downloading as we speak at 191KB so should have them soon. (Not to bad my best download speed is around 300KB). :)


EDIT: Yaah my Desktop just notified me I have a new file :)

Excellent, just finished watching the second - outstanding stuff, will be great help to getting us producing top notch textures :up:.


On a side note Webspace is now at 3.38GB due to a link I found (A nice extra 640MB)

Give some new options you can do each giving you an extra 128MB for each.
E.g Link to Facebook, Make a comment why you like Dropbox etc.
