For the love of god, just a disk-check, perhaps online activation (by e-mail or phone as alternatives). No permanent connections, no limited installs. Those 2 are the big no-nos.

They probably expected this and I'm sure they had meetings with heated debates about the potential backlash. They've made their decision though and release date is almost here.

Glad I'm happy enough with SH3 and SH4 to not really be bothered by it.

I will never buy any game demanding me to stay online. I don't care how good the game is. When i can't play a game i pay for when i want to, where i want to, is a good enough reason to stay away from.

This kind of DRM will only drive more people to piracy. I cancelled my pre-order and will await but i know that this is something Ubisoft won't change any time soon. I also cancelled a couple of other Ubisoft titles.
