Commander allredy adds various radio files according to date.
i.e. Commander/date/19390901/sound/gramophone/radio.ogg
U-boot realsimulation.com has some great gramaphone packs that are organised by year.
would it be possible with the current Commander to automaticaly put the tracks of the current and pervious year(s) into SHIII/data/sound/gramophone with out haveing to create date floders for every day of the war and copying the gramophone tracks into every folder (wich would take vast ammounts of HDD space up)
If not, could a feature allowing this be implemented into the next commander version (if there is to be one)?
Thanks

I'm not sure I fully understand, as the files will take up the same HD space whereever they are stored.

Personally, I wouldn't create date folders for *every* day, I'd group the files by month and have a date folder for every month of the war. In this instance the files don't need to keep the same names, as there'd be no need to stop playing the earlier tracks as you progress through the war, unless you really want a sense of rotation (although, my local radio station plays more 1960's music than 1990's!). So, for example:

19390901
-song1 (whatever name you like)
-song2
-song3

19391001
-song4
-song5
-song6

19391101
-song6
-song7
-song8

So, if the current date is 4/11/1939, the songs copied to SH3 will be: song1, song2, song3, song4, song5, the 19391101 version of song6, song7 and song8.

By using the same song6 title, the earlier one of the two is effectively replaced with the latter one, so you won't hear it after 1/11/1939.

Ahhh! I didnt know about that replace function!
Thanks!
If I can find a host I may release a vast gramophone and radio pack orderd by Commander dates

Thanks again!
