Exhibit A:
I'm helping to build an antenna for a Ham radio operator I'm working with when and I need a u-bolt.
I say to him "Where's a u-boat?...whoops I mean u-boot...DOH!...I mean U-bolt!!"
Exhibit B:
Something is really taking my time and i'm awful tempted to push an (imaginary) time compression button to speed it up.
Exhibit C:
A message comes in through the submarine's radio with the usual morse code, then I reach over to the morse code oscillator that's sitting on my desk and I turn the volume up...
:doh::timeout:

"Yawohl frau Kaleun"

czwij 12-04-09 02:54 AM

Your driving in traffic and think if I wasn't in this type II I would have enough torps to finnish this guy.

---------------

freudian slip on "finnish" - type II = Vesikko, the finnish prototype for the Type II

bloody clever!:haha:

If you wake up in the middle of the night in bed with soaked sheets, and your jaw hurts like hell from clenching your teeth in your sleep, because you been dreaming about being depth charged over and over and over...:dead:

You know you play too much SHIII when you sit at your desk screaming "I want proper reports!" after your computer shows the BSoD for the 10th time :smug:

When, visiting the "Espadon" (french word for Swordfish), a French built Type XXI turned into a museum, I was steering up, at the conning tower access ladder. While I was doing that, my hand was entering a zero gyro firing solution on tube I & II... When I noticed, my eyes blinked three time and I steped away slowly.

Oh, got another good one : living in St-Nazaire, every first wednesday of the month, the bombing alarm gets to ring for a while, at noon. So one day, sitting in the ancient AA main Nest of the U-Bunker, I steered immediatly at the skies, up and then west north-west to spot allied bombers !
Spooky, on the moment...
