I'm not so sure that New England will get home field advantage in the playoff's this year ... they might lose a couple of more games and have to play KC in KC even though they beat KC, but if KC keeps winning their record will be better.

Didn't the Patriots lose to Detroit and Miami on the road this year?

Bad news: They play the undefeated Rams next. And this is the day after undefeated Alabama plays LSU. I'm going to be a nervous wreck this weekend. :gulp:

Yay!!!!! Now we get to rebuild yet again. But at least we have what seems to be a competent front office this time, and the beginnings of a young solid team. They find the right coaching staff, this might actually become a real football team.

Commander Wallace 10-29-18 07:12 PM

^ The good news is a new coaching staff may have a lot to work with the Browns. Quarterback Baker Mayfield looks pretty good and is the real deal. A better coaching staff should be able to tailor an offensive system to take advantage of the abilities of Mayfield and others.

I have a question I keep on forgetting.

NFL or American Football is the most popular sport in USA overall.

No question there.

The question is:

Why is the season so short ?

From Oct-Jan.

Only four month.

Wear and tear on the players for one thing. Same reason they only have one game a week whereas the other big three American sports, Baseball, Basketball and Hockey will have several.

An argument can and has been made that hockey is almost as punishing as football. Especially when they have 84 games, plus a zillion playoffs, and football has at worst 20.

But it also comes down to marketing. High school football is mostly firday nights, college is Saturday, and pro is Sunday. They added Monday and Thursday nights as time went on, but having all your football on one day makes it an event every week. This just drives up the mania surrounding each game, and gives the pundits time to discuss the inane aspects of the game over the week.

@August. Way to beat the cheezewhiz outta those cheezeheadz!:Kaleun_Salute::Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:
Skol. Okay, it was only the Lions.

I'm surprized Chucky still has a job. They are like scoring next to nothing.

You're welcome. :D

45 minutes till kick off

Monday Night Football Nov 5 8:15 PM

Tennessee Titans (3-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (3-4)

Mr Quatro 11-06-18 12:08 PM

The Dallas Cowboys had it made in the first quarter with two fumbles by Titans and then everything went south.
