Rather get surprises in my career than actively search for a Capital Ship.
But that's my opinion :D

I'd like to BE surprised once in awhile, LOL. All we ever seem to sight is small ships...a Large Merchant is like ambrosia for my crew!

I've been rather lucky lately, mostly 4000 to 10.000 tonnes.
Got another 32.000 tonnes last patrol.

But something feels wrong, it's almost too easy, I was right in the middle of a convoy and I got away without being detected.
Which is kind off affecting my mentality, every patrol it's like, this is the last one, the previous was too good to be true.
Maybe that's why my men's morale is halfway

Take the good whilst you can...it should get harder.

True, It's called ''Happy Times'' for a good reason.

Lucky! I usually get detected right away, even when I'm running silent and have the periscope barely out of the water. I thought escorts weren't that well-trained in 1940.

I find the biggest issue here is avoiding bad habits. It's pretty easy to become complacent in which case you're in for a rude awakening once the escorts start using effective tactics. :yep:

Think that will be my problem once things when my career hits 1943.
Until then the only thing that worries me is the weather.:damn:

That thought is the number one killer for me. "They'll never notice me, if I succeed in doing this". Then I succeed in doing what I think is safe - and then they suddenly notice me and usually sink me, too.

I love SH3

Hi there, so, I am now back to my base from my last patrol.

I can count myself lucky because I just left the port before the Bismarck Story went on, so I could catch one Carrier and one Battleship and hit & sunk them both at full speed.

Also they try to sunk me with everything they got afterwards.
And the best, during the attack on me I raised from 150m deepth to periscope deepth got another Aal into the movingless Battleship.

This kind of action cost me my deck gun. but it was worth!

Lucky that my submarine XI was just "parked" in the front of those capital ships and I could avoid the aircrafts before I reached them.

Tomorrow I'll will post the screenshots from my logbook to prove it.

I had found the HMS Hood in Scapa Flow once, sank her with four torpeados. A big kick in the nards for jolly old england that day.
