This mod have very low tonnage requirements and is intended for those who play with high realism. If you finish the tonnage missions before the year ends, just go out and patrol &have some fun. Also, you are not forced to hunt capital ships, all missions are built for subs, not for battleships. The mod is now uploaded to subsim.com so no more broken link and downtime. |

Finsihed, but not entirely tested just because there is 3 year to play, up to May 45. So far, I dont know anybody who passed the summer 44, including myself. There are few things left to be polished, is mentioned in the first post.
But overall, the mod is working very good and its a real joy to play it. I would need to implement mines, nets and even icebergs in the future sometime. This mod have icebergs implemented, but you will meet them only in September 44 while doing Operation Leuthen. I posted few screens with my encounter with the icebergs, was an amazing sight. Also, there are plenty of wolfpacks, huge convoys with fierce escorts, amazing AI vs AI battles and all kinda surprises all over the campaign. And of course, access to the C/41 sub with the best weaponry available in the game. There is really no reason to skip this campaign and do the original 3 month only BM instead. |
Reading this brings me to the question: Will this mod still work if I do not have the Icebergs installed?

Now, if your mod will overwrite this one, Open Horizons will not work.. most probably the game will crash. If OH is installed over your mod, your mod will not work because it miss the environement.mis I had in plan to add mines, nets and all that goodies to OH, but had no time to finish it. An easy way would be to combine/adapt your mod to OH, would require less time than doing everything from scratch. This would be a fast fix, but will require a fresh start. Next week as I will have a bit more time, I wanna take a closer look into this. I also need mines to add for one of the new missions in this campaign, it was planned, but at the time when I was working on this mod there was no way to bring mines into the game. By the way.. did you added mines and nets to Gibraltar area? |
@Zedi
Is it possible that there is a config file for c3 middleton in the american roster file is missing??? I am just working to adopt my harbour add mod to your campaign and I was just confronted with this missing file when trying to open the black may project file in the ME. greetings Han |
Yes, is possible. It might be due a installed mod I had when was working on OH, like Cerberus Additional Merchant Ships. TDW once mentioned something similar when he opened the mod in ME. If so, ME will fail to open the mod and the faulty entry need to be edited with Notepad.
I will take a look next week with a fresh install of SH5 and I will also add mines, nets &stuff. |
