Its very easy for ubi blame to external attacks the bad running of crappy DRM servers. :nope:
Finally people will give thanks to ubi for play at 70% or 80% of the time despite they paid 100 % of the game :yeah: If it was a ISP service, electric home power, water supply, or other public services, could end in a court, but not with a game :88) |

It's about ensuring contingencies. If the problem was caused by a faulty server, would you be here blaming the server manufacturer, or Ubisoft for failing to have adequate contingencies in place? If the power went out in one of Ubisoft's hubs, would you blame the power company, or Ubisoft for failing to have adequate contingencies in place? In either scenario, the outcome would be the same, just the reason would be different. So why then quickly blame hackers when they exploit a vulnerability in the Ubisoft servers (and let's be clear, unless you have server logs you're just accepting the PR Ubisoft has spun you)? Are the hackers now responsible for protecting Ubisoft's servers? Would hackers even be an issue had Ubisoft applied a less draconian copy protection measure? Should legitimate buyers even be caught in the crossfire of Ubisoft vs Pirates? Ubisoft invited us all to that party, not the pirates. Obviously DRM/OSP has failed because hackers can exploit system vulnerabilities. Full stop. InstaFail. |
well thats weird.
but i solved it this way: i have registered to the official ubi forums with login credentials "A". I registered the game using login credentials "B". Playing game with "B" worked until the downtimes. After that i got the same message, wrong password. I logged in with my credentials "A" and it worked. I guess they somehow merged the accounts without telling the users something about it. |
