Hmmm?
I was sure that 10% of CO2 is deadly toxic...

They appear to have replaced Oxygen with a 100% scale CO2 reading instead.

How could I decrease CO2? :hmmm:
CO2 increased on the surface of the sea.

Situation:
- The hatch on the deck was open.
- The diesel engine was running.
- In storm, no watcher.

I found same reports in official forum.

That is CO2 bug. :dead:

I just launched the game and it seems there has been a second update for the UbiLauncher ...

Yes, but always v1.0.5 on the screen...

According to my data: carbon dioxide structures: O=C=O. chemical formula is CO2 whose molecules composed by two oxygen atoms and one of carbon.
Inhalation Produces asphyxia, cause hyperventilation. The long term exhibition is dangerous
Concentration to the 50% in the mortal air.
Not if those of UBI have considered these scientific data.

Assuming that the CO2 meter was in "X% of the air is CO2" is a rather rash assumption. The more reasonable assumption is that the CO2 meter is showing the progress between no CO2 and maximum non-fatal CO2, which could easily be between 0% and 30% CO2 in the atmosphere.

The devs have gotten a bum rap from armchair scientists as far back as SH3 who don't consider this point.

What would be cool of course is that crew skill, morale, etc would suffer more at high CO2 levels. Can't exactly be shoving in a torpedo into a tube single handed when you're about to pass out.

Any way to check which version of the game/sim you're running?

It should appear in the top left corner when at the main menu.

does anyone know how to get the patch to go to another destination. I have the steam version and I believe the patch auto looks at
C:ubisoft/silenthunter5/ whatever. but my version of the game isnt there
its in steam so its in the steam file. But the patch keeps saying no version of the game is installed on my computer.

So is 1.01 the latest patch? THe loader autopatched it to 1.01 but the download files refers to 1.1 which doesn't want to install on my retail version...

Just making sure I am not doing anything daft here

reaper7 03-09-10 06:27 AM

Mine says V 1.1.5 in the game screen. Don't see any read me for what changes are implemented? Readme in install folders is for v1.0

Do I need a patch?

I purchased my copy of Silent Hunter 5 with real money. I didn't pirate it or download it in part or wholly. So far, every time I have played it, I have been connected to the internet for the entire time. The first time I installed the game, then connected to the internet, it spent probably 20 minutes getting "upgrades" before finally firing up the intro movie.

My question is this...Do I need to download a patch to fix up Ubisoft's "errors" (read bug fix) or are they automatically detected and installed each time I connect to the internet to play? I don't mean downloading the work of some hard working modder who has added special effects, or increased or enhanced the sim by giving it extra gauges, easier interface etc. I mean Ubisoft's attempts to repair what gamers have perceived as "bugs" or errors.
