Don't you think 1941 would be a little early for the double 5 inch turrets because if I remember correctly none of the ships at Pearl had them. Although you could try this I remember in the American sub career your sub would eventually get a refit in 42' that said the aft fairwater was removed so you could possibly do the refits that way?

Well here's what Wiki says the Lexington's armament would be in 41' to mid 42' It clearly does not state Double 5 inch turrets

  • 4 × 2 - 16-inch (406 mm)/50 cal guns
  • 14 × 1 - 6-inch (152 mm)/53 cal
  • 4 × 1 - 3-inch (76 mm)/50 cal anti-aircraft guns
  • 8 × 21-inch (533 mm) torpedo tubes, 4 submerged

This is how the South Dakota would have probably looked in 41'

That`s because they were never built to recieve 5"/38s in a 42 refit. Wikipedia doesn`t say in that bar that the Pennsylvania had 16 5"/38s, but in the 1942 section is says that the Pennsylvania recieved 5"/38s, replacing the 5"/51s. That`s the South Dakota as they would have looked like when completed in 1923-1924.

Wow than that must be a fast refit aft cage mast removed and twin 5 inch guns added in just a couple days after Pearl.:eek:

It took the grease monkeys at Pearl three days to do three months work on the Yorktown after she was bombed to pieces in the battle of coral sea.

Actually all they would need was super glue and duct tape.

That they used when she was bombed and torpedoed again at the battle of Midway.

There will only be minor changes to the Tillman IV-2 3D model. I have already posted a picture of the definet South Dakota. I am pondering of the idea of adding 5"/38s to her as well.

Can you post some better screenshots of the USS S-33 because the ones on it's thread weren't that good.

Did that work many months ago.

Are you going to refurbish your HMS Hood and refit because I've noticed MANY bugs in it are you also going to do some work on your ships of the Z-plan because I really want to play as that awesome Admiral Hipper you have if not can you tell me how to make the gun textures not black. I've done the same thing with the H-44 but it seems that the Admiral Hipper's cannons are not linked to a AO map only the playable one is.

I have a new version of the Hood with a remade refit. I might update the Hipper, H-39 and H-44. All of these ships could need a little updating, especially in guns and radars. In the meantime, here`s a video of the SoDak in action.
