I think I'll mosey along now and possibly return in the near future to check how things are going. But for now, laters ya'll. :shucks:

I believe that might be caused by something on your end. :hmmm: I've gotten "server busy" message once few months ago. Other than the "security token missing" message that comes every now and then, the forum is working fine for me.

EDIT: Oh nuggets. 5min after posting this, the forum went down for abit.

same thing here.

also getting "database error" page but so far only after hitting 'submit reply' - when i go back to the thread i was replying to though my reply is there, i just don't get redirected back there from the reply page and end up in errorland.

also getting off-and-on 'page not found' and other similar when clicking on links to various threads or forums or usercp - got one the first two times i tried to get into this one to see if anybody else was having troubles.

As above.

[edit]:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It happened to me on this post!

Being informed that Dowly and Hunter are patrolling the No Fly Zone does not inspire me with confidence! :har:

Aside from the database down for repair message Subsim has been behaving for me, perhaps because I'm using Neals favourite browser...

Mostly fixed now, I think I'm getting Database errors when posting

There are two threads I had to pull the plug on and start sequels.

was subsim just down...:hmmm:

Onkel Neal 02-04-10 06:34 PM

Yes, for about 45 minutes.

Note to all: we are discussing options, including once again, upgrading to a new server. Bear with me, thanks for your patience.

Lol, no, it's not going anywhere, and I can afford this because of the fundraiser we had in Dec. Just wanted to keep you guys abreast of the situation.

It's not the $$ that bugs me, it's the time that it will take to get this done.

:) Neal

Neal, if you ever run out of $$, here's an idea. Take your ordinary Battle Mug, draw a dot somewhere on it. Take picture of the dot and put it for sale to eBay with a title "Coffee cup with a jesus on it!!!".

And to save you from asking:

1. Yes, I am available to be hired as your financial advisor
2. Yes, 70% of the income sounds good.

Here I thought Neal was just getting us to use to for SHV server down time!!!:har:

Reece 02-04-10 11:30 PM

Found the thread, thought it vanished!! Well hopefully all will be fixed soon with minimal cost,:yep: although the tech's hour rate is like wow!!:o would be happy if my wages were even half that!!

Onkel Neal 02-05-10 12:15 AM

Yeah, me too. Supply and demand, those guys are in short supply and high demand. Go to the library and get a Linux for Dummies book and in a few years I may be hiring you :)
