If that story was pointing out the hypocrisy then you should be able to relate the two events with some relevence.
Since the only possible link is that they both involved t-shirts it is a rubbish attempt.

I know I shouldn't do this as I'm only hindering the thread to slip down the first page, BUT: This is still going on? Not that it isn't amusing to read, but really as Stealth Hunter said: mountains out of molehills.

All this discussion brings the question to mind of what should she wear that's OK? A suit, cloths with no writing or recognizable brands, a burqa? I'd be more offended by a smiley face than a peace sign. Peace is a noble goal at least! Too bad humanity isn't up to the task yet, but peace is way harder than war.
