Melnibonian is right in that enemy units report your position and "call for assistance"

However, I believe what the poster meant to ask was whether or not this translates to a radio message recieved by you.

If you sink a ballooned ship...
1) The ship sinks to the bottom and perhaps the balloon remains floating above the surface.
2) So then this sunk ship with floating balloon still has the tow-line strung from sunk ship to balloon...

niether: the ship floats away in to outta space :D :D

Joking of course- to be honest I had the same curiousity as you and tried to sink one not so long ago in port, but the shallow waters meant it only sank up to the bridge on an even keel, so i never did find out :cry:
Perhaps one of the testers will englighten us provided the infomation isnt classified.

I've personally tested it and have a series of screenies but I'm not quite sure if it's classified or not :hmm:
So I'm saying nowt :lol:
