In its SH4 version, the "C&D" has only one camo scheme, but the SH3 original comes with no less than eight schemes. None is 100% suitable for the "Admiralen"- they were usually a uniform light grey with black topping on the funnels, plus the two-letter codes identifying the ship on the hull to port and starboard: "EV" for "Evertsen", "KN" for Kortenaer etc. These were removed after the Netherlands entered the war in May 1940, though I don't know the exact date of removal. There is a 1941(?) photo of "Evertsen" and "Van Ghent" lying side by side in Soerabaja, painted in a camo scheme but this scheme bears no resemblance at all to any of the SH3 schemes for the "C&D". The best scheme to use would, I think, be the SH3 NDD_C&D_T01.tga scheme, until somebody makes a more suitable scheme.

I don't have SH3, so I only have the skin in the ship power pack.

The Dido looks small compared to the Java when i look at the screenshot.

Dido is less than 1m longer than the real Java.

Ok look at my sig. The Java looks more, i would i say it, beasty.

If i knew how i could alter/make a ship like the Java i will realy give all
my time for it...but....i only know to use the mods and alter files.

The German cruiser "Emden" would be a better substitute for "Java", but I don't know whether anybody has modelled this ship for SH3- I'll see if I can find anything on this. It won't be a perfect match, but better than an "Omaha" or "Dido".

I don`t think that the Emden has been made for sh3. But it`s almost
a sistership of the java and sumatra.

So far I haven't been able to find the "Emden" so I think I'll ask around if anybody has made her.............

But Emden would definetly be an improvement over the Dido..
