Not feet? Not Imperial Measurements? IS there a Choice in settings?

This is going to be fixed in the initial patch.

Pre-release mini-bugs? Not good.

still awaiting my copy!

i would not call that a mini bug if it is true. [i certainly hope not] i would call that a major bug:down:

EDIT: i guess that would not qualify as a bug, but still *crys*

The reality of being a game developer today often means working to imposed deadlines where you're still adding final tweaks to a game after it has gone gold. These tweaks then form an initial patch released soon after the game.

Silent Hunter 3 was a whole different deal with 4 patches in as many months, and I certainly am not expecting to see that this time around, but I'd expect a SH4 patch soon after its official release, and in my view the patch will address most of the issues that will find their way into our 'Bugs' thread.

Yeah but even SHIII with its problems was great out of the box. And I'm sure SHIV will be the same way. Of course the AA deal is a little disturbing. I like playing at lower res with Good AA then Higher Res without. But oh well I guess.

Wow, you sure your PC can run on everything high at 1280x1024???

If that is really the case, this game has some pretty low requirements.

What is your average FPS?

If you need to know, can try running Fraps in the background.

Ya but without AA they are bound to run better if the AA thing is true.

Thank you very much Neal. I woke up the next morning only to find my user deleted.

Just to clarify some things. Dameon tools is in my start-up folder. It runs with the windows. I use Utorrent for many things, as I am sure many of you did. I know personally many people at Ubi, and I would not think for a minute to show any disrespect to them, so cut the hypocrisy all of you who hurried to throw stones in me, my game IS NOT pirated.

Have a nice forum, I wish you all the best. Maybe we"ll meet again south of Honshu....some day.

Kruger

Wow?

Pevs86 03-19-07 07:33 AM

Who would post the installation picture of a pirated version?

I feel sorry for Kruger, he came here to share his thoughts and feelings, give you guys a preview of a game you're all so desperate to get that just because someone else got it first you try, judge and hang him. :nope:

I too have eMule and Daemon tools running all the time my PCs on, do I use them to attain illegal games or do I use them for legitamate purposes? That's noones concern. We know people have the game, Shipshape posted his entire boxed copy (even his CD key initially) so we KNOW that people have legitamate copies, yet still you assumed the worst and now you've lost a dedicated forum member, let alone a source of all the screenies / information you could want.

Drebbel 03-19-07 07:42 AM

Then who is this guy ?

Looks like Kruger to me ?!?

Accusations.... your username Kruger is not deleted, I see it, but you have two accounts with the same e-mail, that may be a problem. Just log into your Kruger account, and delete the other one.

What I am going to do today is, go to BestBuy, CompUSA, and EBGames to see if it has been released here in Dallas.

so do I, I use Deamon Tools for vocational purposes to mount multimedia DVD/CD images and test them before they left my office and go into our production process and at home I use torrent clients because most (if not all) mod-teams for BF and other MP games, release their big mods (1 GB+) also as torrent files.

i understand what you are saying. my only worry is once americans start buying this game, they will be put off by the metric system [i know i am already]. once initial sales are through, follow up sales might not happen because of this. most american reviewers will tell everyone about this fact in the first paragraph detailing gameplay. this game being a pacific war sub-sim playing the US should of had feet to begin with, an oversite for sure

i will play SH4 no matter what, but the average american gamers will say "what is with this metric stuff" and word of mouth travles fast in the US :D
