I think the only way so far to have a light night in GWX is to adjust your screen settings. I would suggest you try to change the contrast and the brightness of your screen. It can make a big difference actually. If this doesn't work I would suggest you try to download the latest drivers for your graphics card and play a bit with the settings.

Mel, I think that would only be a temporary fix, because you would have to keep adjusting the settings on the monitor everytime you start up SH3, the change them when you exit so evrything else is not Blinding bright.

True. I agree with you on that, but I've suggested this to Rob as a temporary fix. That way he can at least enjoy GWX. If you do manage to make the light mod work though you will make a lot of people happy. In the mean time I'll take it with the Devs and see what they think about it.

Thanks Mel

Thanks Mel for what you mentioned about my health problems. Not many people look under a person's name. I'm actually glad I reached 71 now but I now have to take additional medication as I now have a heart problem and have to carry Nitro-glycerin with me whereever I go, so it's now a question as to whether I'll be around for SH4.

Didn't mean to break the thread, but thanks very much everyone for wishing me a happy birthday and a joyess Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I wish the same to everyone of you.
Rob

Okay, Grizz, you should end this thread plese.

Rob you don't need to thank me at all. I just did exactly what you would have done if you were in my place. I really hope your health gets better by the day and I'm sure you will be around for SH6 and beyond:yep: :yep:  . Hang on there mate and try to get well that's the important thing. Everything else follows after that. I really hope you have a fantastic Christmas and I hope the New Year finds you in better health. In the mean time try to enjoy as much as possible GWX (I hope you like it) and I say this because I know that playing for 10 or 15 minutes a day with health problems is not easy.

Obviously for anything else you need just drop me a PM and I'll do all I can to help you.

Take care mate and get well
Thomas

Guys,

It is completely acceptable to critique and/or criticize mods. Heck, I've pointed out some of my own qualms about GWX.

What is completely unacceptable is 1) Personal attacks, 2) Baiting and trolling, 3) Trying to instigate mod action

This thread is closed. Offenders will be reported to Neal.

Actually, I'm impressed, most of the members here were able to make their points with emphasis but without crossing the line. A few, however, will be hearing from me tonight. This type of baiting and nuking is getting out of hand.

Neal
