I'm on it and looking for the book. The local military bookshops don't seem to have it listed so I might have to buy it online from Amazon or somewhere.

The NFL pack was fairly quick and dirty as the .GIF files were already transparancies so just had to resize and mess with the bits that were meant to be white.

I've found this site: http://www.uboataces.com/ref-insignia.shtml which appears to have all of the recorded emblems used by Uboats in WWII.

If there is enough interest within the next 3 days, I'll start working on colourising all of these to release as a pack. Some of them are a bit difficult to make out so I'll do my best with what I can. I won't make any guarantees on when the pack will be ready as I work fairly long hours and have a wife and kids to consider.

To make it easier on everybody, I'll do them in stages and release them as I go. If anyone want's to help out with this or has information on the colours used let me know via PM.

Nice site, TarJak! I notice that the link has too many letters; you need to remove the "which" from the end.

Somebody did a high-res set of emblems with all the ones available. I can't find it right now, but I'm pretty sure it's included in GW.

I've a new scanner ordered with santa and was going to attempt some out of the U-boat emblems book in the new year :arrgh!:

@Sailor Steve: I fixed the link. Thanks GW has a lot of emblems but not all. I use GW and there are a lot that are on this site but not in the set with GW. With the new Flotilla's in GWX I was planning to start with the Flotilla emblems that I can find and then move onto the individual boats.

@jimbuna Thanks for the offer and without committing you to any promises I'd appreciate any help I can get. When I did the heraldry pack it took about 30 hours to churn through about 280 emblems. I did have the advantage that in most cases I had colour original material to work from which saved a lot of time.

I use GIMP and Photoshop mostly although I've had problems with Gimp were it doesn't always convert to TGA properly so I use photoshop for the conversions and some of the editing. Photoshop PSD is easier for some of the layer work as well IMHO.
