Hi, and thanks for your answer THEBERBSTER. Unfortunatelly i made the mistake of buying the game thru steam, so i cant use the GFP :(

I normally dont have a problem with steam (i bought SH3 & 4 there, no problems), and i dint know about this problem when i bought the game, otherwise i would have bought it elsewere.
So i had hoped this mod could help with this issue, but it doesnt work for me.

Oh boy, i really wanted to enjoy this game (i adore SH3). But i find it so filled with bugs and problems, that it has given me nothing more than frustration.
Seriously, ubisoft should be ashamed of themselves for releasing a product in this state.

It seems no ammount of mods can bring this game to a playable/enjoyable level (for me), i am "one inch" away from uninstalling it and moving on. :(

SH5 is unplayable without TDW's Generic File Patcher and as you have found out does not support the Steam download..
You may like to take a look at this.

Thanks, i have extracted the .exe from the patch as described on that other thread, im about to download the patcher & tools.
Im excited to see if i can (finally) get some joy out of Silent hunter 5. :yeah:

How do you turn on the compass bearings in the binoculars? It says in the documentation that there is an option for it, but I have not been able to find it.

Anyone that use the ui and the stormys can share the mod position bet* both ?

Placing stormys before the ui as it says cause my game gone crazy after a while even ignoring my course orders.

I'm running V1.02. I've also tried New UI 7.4.2 as the sole installed mod but get the same error.

Any pointers? At my wits end!

Are you getting a problem when you load the stock game?
If you are it could be you have a corruption.
You are currently showing a DirectX problem.

Are you sure the mod is enabled correctly?
The path > Data/Scripts/Menu/TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py that you are showing is the py file for the Options File Editor Viewer.
The OFEV does not open until TDW's 7-4-2 or 7-5-0 has first to be directed to the menu.txt file and secondly the path then needs to point at the main game folder Silent Hunter 5.

I assume that when you open the mod 7-4-2 or 7-5-0 you can see the data folder?

A reinstall of DirectX sorted the problem. Thanks all!!

Hi everyone.

I have installed the game agin after looong time in drydock.

I have tryed to install the Darkwraith last mod. Edited it and change the UI to SH3Style

I use the standard mod enabler, I hve the game updated to 1.2

Yhe UI style of the mod does not work, No 3 dials on my sub. I am in the base afete the first tutorial and a new campaign.

Any Idea What is happening?

You can only change settings with TDW's NewUI base mod disabled.

I found the problem...it was a folder location fail.
