Actually, to be fair and I'm no fan of the Tory scum in general, I have to agree with the oik being charged with assault. He was clearly a common vandal and thug, who on being caught decided to come out and attack the person who caught him.

The man should be fined heavily and made to do a long term of community service.
The tories may be political scum but this individual is just mindless criminal scum.
