It's the Scottish National Parties main reason for being but I'm genuinely not convinced they will have the tax income to run as a separate country, especially if not a member of the EU.

Two questions that are usually uncomfortable for them to answer are:

1) What currency will you use because the pound sterling is underwritten by the Bank of England.

2) If you leave the Union you will take a fair proportion of the national debt with you, won't you?

In 1991 Russia took the national debt (of USSR) in exchange of not paying back the national savings.

Being a member of the EU would be the very reason to leave the UK :hmmm: There are countries with much less gross national product and they are doing fine.

Currency? Introduce a Scottish Pound, or adopt the Euro. The latter would make trade and exchange much easier.

I guess they will look at their current big brother and see what the latter does when leaving its union.

I am hearing reports on the radio Bojo is pulling the wool over our eyes. A rehashed Maybot plan with trimmings, reports also saying the ERG is devided. At this stage it looks bad until we get...THE FACTS...and not the media dire tripe saying what ever they want on a spin of a coin.

Be brave my British friends

Soon, very soon your Prime Minister Boris Johnson, will after he have landed in Heathrow, wave with his hand holdning a piece of paper

Saying

We got a deal

If that is the case (which I doubt) it will have to be a better deal than Chamberlain came back with.

Have UK voters changed their minds on Brexit?

No single course of action is preferred by a majority of voters.

So much dire tripe in the media at the moment on this talks thank goodness one media news company has seen what many of us want. SKY is launching a new news channel 100% no brexit news not even a headline thank goodness.

Jimbuna 10-16-19 05:38 AM

Until there ratings drop.

Jim has beaten me, wanted to post those numbers myself.

However, there are more graphics shown. They should be mentioned as well:

(Note that some of the numbers show average values form several such polls done in recent months)

Wonderful! Do you known if BBC had TV cameras greeting him back then? That would be interesting side by side comparison for evening news.

The comparison I would make is one looks like a clown and the other an undertaker :03:

The future of Boris Johnson's Brexit deal hangs in the balance as EU officials say the outcome of talks should be known by the end of the day.

We've waited over three years so a few more hours shouldn't be all that hard.

Who said so? But your question really invites interesting conclusions, doesn't it? :O:

We need a general election to sort the whole mess out and if it ends up being a hung Parliament then a referendum to revoke or otherwise should take place.

MP Louise Ellman has quit the Labour Party - saying Jeremy Corbyn is "not fit" to become prime minister.

In a tweet, the Liverpool Riverside MP cites the allegations of anti-Semitism in the party that have surfaced under the Labour leader's tenure.

Ms Ellman, who is Jewish, has been a party member for 55 years but says she "can no longer advocate voting Labour when it risks Corbyn becoming PM".

She said "anti-Semitism has become mainstream in the Labour Party".

Latest polls according to LBC Radio tonight Bojo is ahead by 15% up and down the country, would he win outright all comes down to brexit this saturday. Fail and the Brexit party will be a factor.
